I think I’m with the majority of commentors here at FR in that I consider myself a conservative and against RINO’s; however, I’ve never fully understood the dislike of Mike Huckabee here. I voted for him in 2008 primaries because I thought he was by far the most pro-2nd Ammendment candidate on the ballot.
Let's start with Huckabee granting clemency to a man serving a 95-year sentence, Maurice Clemmons, who murdered four police officers only six days after being released.
Let's continue with convicted rapist Wayne DuMond who raped and murdered a Missouri woman less than a year after Huckabee let him go.
In total, Huckabee granted 1,033 pardons and commutations including a dozen convicted murderers. That's more than the three prior Arkansas governor's combined.
A menace to law-and-order, Huckabee got rich on his awe-shucks Christian Socialism.
Courage has become a rather rare commodity on FR of late. This website has been overrun with willard apologists and faux conservatives who don the conservative mantle when it’s convenient, and dump it in the nearest ditch when it isn’t.
