Sarah Steelman would be my pick as a Akin replacement also. I checked my home email a bit ago and there were three fundraising emails from the Akin campaign begging for money. I wouldn't give them the sweat off of VP Biden's bb sized cojones. The emails came from some obvious "service" that Akin is employing now called: team@rally.org. Attempts to reply and tell them to get me the hell off of their mailing lists came back as undeliverable. Then, trying to send email to his actual campaign website's "contact us" service didn't work either. My email to that site came back undeliverable with this message: : This address no longer accepts mail. I guess his folks are tired of hearing from disgruntled conservative Republicans. Perhaps he now has a secret site for McCaskill supporters to go to and contribute to his campaign.

The Senate campaign committee has revoked the $5 million it designated for Representative Akin, and key fundraising events have been canceled.

Of course, the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee will take no responsibility for the loss if Akin loses.
