Good idea. Sarah needs her own speaker’s platform away from the GOP convention where she, Newt, Allen West speak and then the voters can compare it to the mitt/paul/mccain speeches. It would be obvious who the Patriots are.

This is sooo outrages, I feel like I am in Alice in Wonderland. One of the most powerful people in the Conservative movement, and she is being shunned???

Romney finally did something good by picking Ryan, but he leaves out the most important person to me.

Where do I go to scream

“She won’t speak but McCain will.”

If this turns out to be true you can bet it is being done because they want her to just go away. Get her out of the public eye in hopes we will forget all about her.

If the GOP wasn’t being run by a bunch of dirtballs (And their current presumptive Presidential nominee is a dirtball) I wouldn’t never think they would do this.

I would say I would dump the GOP but I did that years ago.

The Republican Party is no friend to Conservatives.

Sarah has supported Paul Ryan big time over the years! Why doesn’t he ask Romney to include her??

Sarah suggested Ryan for President not that very long ago, within 2 years.

She was asked on Fox. She has been a big supporter of his

Otherwise she’s just an ornament-not serious.

And Fascist-dum & Fascist-dee ARE serious?

Barry "Wall Street Committed No Crimes" Obama and Mittens Romney are two peas in a Police State pod. Banksters & .gov thugs get to commit crimes all day long, and the peasantry gets 10 years for jaywalking.

They don't want her around because she violated the unwritten politico code - don't squeal on your own crooked team.

A couple of weeks ago Palin reported the convention planners had reached out to inquire about her interest in speaking, and she responded that she’d need to know more details..... So my guess is they never got back to her or they got back offering her 10 minutes at 4 PM on Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks! That sounds about right for the GOP/Romney's crowd.

> Sarah speaking at romney’s convention would be like Led Zeppelin opening for the Monkees.

Most Apt Simile-Of-The-Week Award!!

No kidding...... that HAS to be it.

Then again, a great rousing speech from Sarah would only serve to raise the spirits of disaffected Conservatives, who would reluctantly turn and support Mittens, to their great chagrin in a year when Ryan is silenced and Romney turns out to be as much of a Big-Government Liberal as we believe him to be, and all those who voted for him want to cut off their voting hands.

Maybe she's relieved she doesn't have to shill for a Liberal and sell out her base for a few minutes of podium time.

She'll have quite an audience of her own at her place down the street, I wager.

Newt Gingrich isn’t speaking either, which to me is more offensive, since he did more for the party historically than almost any other Republican and was a big force in attacking Obama on television this year during the primaries, especially over the energy issue. As far as I understand it, Romney’s camp is entirely responsible for deciding who speaks, so the blame lies at their feet. Sadly it makes it feel like for every encouraging move like selecting Paul Ryan, the Romney camp will turn around and discourage us yet again.

Methinks you folks should keep your powder dry and keep your yaps shut. Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan may just spring Ms. Palin on the convention floor at the absolute last minute for maximum exposure and to screw the liberal, Obamabot, left-wing, media dirt bags.

Based on the massive turnout of voters for Romney/Ryan wherever they went Saturday & Sunday and the dismal rally attendance at every Obama campaign stop... I would say Palin, speaking at the last minute, would be a stunning good move, and would bring the convention to a fever pitch!!!

Romney's operation sounds so very, very much like Bush Senior's .... which was described in some detail in an August 1988 article in the Atlantic Monthly. The Bushes have always (this includes Junior, who inherited the attitudes on this) dissected ant shit on "loyalty" issues and "who's our friend/not our friend" to a degree that reflects deep insecurity, and yet turned around -- both Bushes -- and exhibited actual fecklessness and carelessness about the activities of real enemies on the Left.

They sound like the Bourbons -- "never learned anything, and never forgot anything". Sounds like a good subject for a deepthinking, multivolume psychopathology study.

Here’s what I think the vicious cycle is that the GOP keeps falling into.

Some Republican candidates appear on the scene who explicitly call out how truly devastating and dangerous the policies of the Democrats are for this country. Naturally, they are beloved by the base who are the one group of Americans who has done their homework and understands the destructive nature of the Left.

The Democrats see these politicians as especially threatening because not only do they know what the Democrats are up to but they’re not afraid to speak the truth. Therefore the liberal media unleashes a massive smear campaign against them involving all the Alinsky-ite tactics of ridicule, lies and such and such.

The liberal media’s attacks begin to have the desired effect and drive down their poll numbers. The GOP elites then get scared and seek to marginalize those candidates because they’re afraid they’ll make the whole party unpopular, hurt fundraising, etc.

It happened to Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Allen West and Donald Trump. All of them are now too hot for GOP TV.

What we need is a party that will back up and defend candidates who speak the truth like these ones do. For whatever reason, the GOP doesn’t think it’s in their best interest to truly define the Left for how destructive it really is in the eyes of the American public. But if we don’t succeed at doing that, we’ll continue to lose elections at least half the time. It’s just unbelievably frustrating to see the GOP cave in on our conservative warriors right at the moment when the Leftists are demonstrating that they’re feeling threatened and vulnerable from the force of the attacks.

The GOP establishment is non-ideological -- their goal is to "take their turn". In this sense, they believe their role is to co-exist with Democrats, not to defeat them.

romney told abc news this morning... with Ryan sitting in his lap (seated next to him)... that it was HIS economic plan that they would be running on and not Ryan's! Ryan is his conservative lap dog... a few ear rubs and a cookie and Ryan will bark and yelp our concerns and mittens will ignore him... as he is ignoring Sarah. I will ignore mitt. Too bad... Ryan is a smart Christian Patriot... he will be ignored or worse.

Sir, I would refer you back to a common phrase of military origin when I and many others on this forum would preface our remarks with "With all due respect, Lieutenant," (and you know perfectly the inference) when an elitist bunch of crap emanates from your pie hole like that. Especially from states such as Mass and Vermont really strains at any resemblance of credibility in a discussion about what works and what doesn't in respect to cleaning house of socialist Democrats and Republicans.

As she continues to work at the grass roots level, doing favors for people, getting people elected. Those of you who think she’s smart, I agree. A lot of people in office today owe her for her help getting them there in 2010. She’ll be owed more favors after this election. When we take over, she’ll own this party.

members of polygamist sects have problems dealing with independent women, and I think Romney is displaying this and should reassess his behavior right now. He’d do himself a serious favor by asking her to speak

There's a good chance you're right about the "independent women" and "serious favor" aspects; and thanks to that plus RINOs taking Sarah down, Romney might not make it on the first ballot.

That's my hope, and I'm looking forward to seeing Sarah surge.

We shall see.
