RNC Convention Speakers Feature Rice, Martinez, Haley in Star-Studded Lineup

Sounds like fun already ... the Tampa Bay Times released the names of some of the speakers slated for the RNC convention in Tampa later this month, and it looks to be a promising lineup. The Times reported that, as of now, it's unclear where these speakers are slotted, and the rest of the lineup--including the keynote speaker--remains unknown. Names so far include conservative powerhouses New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is also speaking.

Here's a portion of the Times report:

Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. John McCain and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are among seven headline speakers announced today for the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

The first look at featured speakers also includes South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez.

The keynote speaker and others will be named closer to the Aug. 27-30 event, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said in announcing the headliners, whom he called "some of our party's brightest stars, who have governed and led effectively and admirably in their respective roles."

So far, the lineup looks off to a fairly good start. Conservatives will definitely be represented well--both socially, with the inclusion of Mike Huckabee, and practically, with competent and current gubernatorial voices like Martinez and Haley--and Rice remains a popular figure in the GOP.

Does this mean you are calling me a crybaby?

Am I whining because Dr Rice, Senator McCain, Governor Mike Huckabee, Governor Haley are among the seven headline speakers at the convention? Or that Governor Scott Walker is not on the list? Which doesn't mean he won't be speaking.

No I am not

BTW I "borrowed" your gif and am not giving it back

Yup. Quit the non-stop sniveling and whimpering and blubbering over others actually having the temerity to reject the notion of voting for Liberal Two in place of Liberal One, and that might conceivably change.

Or don't. I sleep just as well tonight, either way.

"Romney Loses Nomination Over Dog Abuse? -
Romney was traveling that summer with his wife, five sons,
and Seamus to his parent's cottage on Lake Huron.
But hours into the ride, Seamus apparently suffered diarrhea,
which ran down the back window of the car.
David Kravitz wrote on BlueMassGroup, a liberal blog.
"It also strikes me as classic Romney:
it solves a problem efficiently, in a business-like manner,
and with no regard whatsoever for the suffering
that the solution may cause."

"But the details of the event are more than unseemly
- they may, in fact, be illegal.
Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws
specifically prohibit anyone from carrying an animal
"in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise,
in an unnecessarily cruel or inhuman manner
or in a way and manner which might endanger
the animal carried thereon.

"An officer for the Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded
to a description of the situation saying
"it's definitely something I'd want to check out."
The officer, Nadia Branca, declined to give
a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law
but did note that it's against state law to have a dog
in an open bed of a pick-up truck, and
"if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it,
that would be illegal."

"National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the Governor's Council.

All the delegates at the convention should just chant her name throughout the whole convention. If she has her own group in town, that would be the ticket to get.

Huckabee is incapable of Riling up ANYONE

I dissresemble that remark!! A lot of people -- all Mexican, or millionaires -- found Huckster positively inspiring in 2003, when he told a national LULAC convention in Little Rock, "Mi casa, su casa" and "ally-ally-infree!", and went on about how WELCOME hordes of Mexican workers would be in Arkansas, lining up for brokebuck wages outside the Tyson and Pilgrim chicken-chopping plants.

Yeah, they thought old Huck was great. Even Bill Clinton, who was photographed applauding Huck on the dais right behind him. It was a great night for Arkansas ...... well, for Mexicans in Arkansas, anyway.

He will use PDDs and Executive Orders to do absolutely anything he wants to do with impunity. He will use agencies to create law and there will be no one to stop him.

Well, that isn't quite right.

There are some pretty crunchy conservatives on the Supreme Court, assuming Roberts hasn't lost his mind, who find that "stroke of the pen, law of the land" stuff to be a herd of baby fur seals just begging to be clubbed down by people who know why the Constitution was written and who'll handle Osagyefo rougher than they did Richard Nixon for trying out that stuff on this side of the Atlantic, as if America were the Paris Commune.

Come on -- in a staredown, who do you like? Barky, or Clarence Thomas?

And that's what conservative Senate candidates like Ted Cruz are for. Bye-bye Comrade Barky!

He has gotten away with “stroke of the pen, law of the land” so far. I see no one stopping him.

I'm unaware of anyone's challenging his excessive E.O.'s, including the one sealing his school and natal records.

Thank you for proving that you are.

but keep posting your silly little pictures promoting the re election of Obama while the adults work to defeat him.

You truly are stupid. Can’t blame you for not liking Mitt, because I don’t either, but being stupid IS something that you can work on. Go to it.
