It appears that the GOP convention will feature a lot of Republican governors as speakers. This is in keeping with Romney's campaign which is selling the candidate as a competent, experienced leader willing to deal with the other side to solve our problems. But I will guarantee you it won't sell with a lot of the conservative base. Tampa Bay Times: _________________________ Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. John McCain and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice are among seven headline speakers announced today for the Republican National Convention in Tampa. The first look at featured speakers also includes South Carolina...

As a staunch Conservative, Romney is MY MAN! I am aware that many conservatives, Tea Party, and strict constitutionalists, have deep apprehension about Romney.. That is mostly based on what he actually did as the Governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007.. Past facts, are almost always the very best indicator of the true intent of a future development.. I couldn't agree more.. FACTS: Mitt Romney, is a fine husband and father, and was and is also a successful and an astute businessman, for a much longer period of time, than a one term Governor.. FACTS: Mitt Romney, has a...

Sounds like fun already ... the Tampa Bay Times released the names of some of the speakers slated for the RNC convention in Tampa later this month, and it looks to be a promising lineup. The Times reported that, as of now, it's unclear where these speakers are slotted, and the rest of the lineup--including the keynote speaker--remains unknown. Names so far include conservative powerhouses New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is also speaking. Here's a portion of the Times report: Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. John McCain and former Secretary...
  • A Mitt Romney loss wouldn’t necessarily be a disaster

Don’t buy the doom and gloom pronouncements from conservatives telling you, “this is the most important election in history.” A loss for Mitt Romney would not necessarily spell long lasting disaster for Republicans, nor would it be the death-knell to conservatism. In fact, it’s possible a 2012 loss could lay the groundwork for a stronger Republican party and conservative movement. Elections are almost always seen as urgent and morally imperative. But sometimes major victories can only come in the aftermath of what appear to be devastating defeats. John Kerry‘s loss in 2004 laid the groundwork for a Democratic takeover in...
  • Why I’m Voting for Mitt Romney and Why You Should Too

The first reason is easy: Barack Obama. It is shocking to think that a Marxist could ever be president of the United States. But it happened. People always ask, “How could those people have sat back while ________________ came to power. That could never happen here.” Well, it did happen here. As a nation, we sat back and let Barack Obama win in 2008, and look at what we got. Granted, John McCain was not much of an alternative. Some people might argue that the reason I don’t like Barack Obama is because he’s black. There’s no truth it. There...
