The man accused of the shooting rampage in a Denver-area screening of the latest "Batman" movie mailed a notebook detailing his plans to a psychiatrist days before the attack, FoxNews.com reported on Wednesday, as the first funeral was held for one of the 12 people killed.
The package allegedly from the suspected shooter, 24-year-old James Eagan Holmes, remained unopened in a mailroom, perhaps for as long as a week before its discovery Monday, FoxNews.com reported, citing a law enforcement source.

It sucks, but universities come to a halt during the summer.
BS - I bet one of those shrinks had the notebook on his desk and when he awoke to the news of the monstrosity raced to work and re-packaged the notebook, ran down to the mailroom and stuck it in with the unopened stuff.
A shrink, of all the medical professions, should always check their mail daily and answer the phone!
I hope this one gets fired - from his job
<<<<<<passes corkoman tin foil...
WOW! That was my first thought when I heard about the notebook/mailroom news item.
The Prof opened the envelope read the notebook and froze!
Bet on it! The FBI should check for fingerprints on the notebook and each and every page.
Anyone else notice that it is said his drawings had more than one shooter... Interesting
Do you remember when either a neighbor, or friend or just and acquitance had coffee with him on Wednesday and he said he seemed fine. And they we see a bugged eyed pix of some guy saying that is him. I'd like to see a pix of him from a friend and compare it to the one in court on Monday. IMO, they are not the same person.
Not according to the article. The article said a prof, not necessarily Holmes's shrink, initiated a call to police when he received a suspicious package. That package turned out to be nothing, but then the police searched the mail room and found another package with Holmes's return address.
This story calls to mind Dr. Maurice Dean Heatley's long ago interaction with a young patient, Charles Whitman:
On March 29, 1966, Whitman had spent an hour with psychiatrist Dr. Maurice Dean Heatley at the University [of Texas] Health Center. During this meeting Dr. Heatley noted Charles "oozing hostility," and recalled Whitman's reference to "thinking about going up on the tower with a deer rifle and start shooting people." Charles was told to "make an appointment for the same day next week." He never did.
On August 1, 1966, Whitman shot and killed 14 people from the UT campus tower and wounded 32. After the tower murders, it was discovered he had also stabbed his mother and his wife to death.
I wonder if Dr. Heatley is still coming down for breakfast. If so, it would be interesting to hear his take on Holmes.
On August 1, 1966, Whitman shot and killed 14 people from the UT campus tower and wounded 32.
Back then, a lot of people carried their rifles in their trucks without a hassle from the leftist gestapo.
I wouldn’t be too excited about this, I suspect the “copycat wana-be’s” are working overtime....big-time.
