Dead heat in race for Washington governor (and Obama loses ground there, too)
MSNBC ^ | July 19, 2012 | Robert Mak

Top of the ticket: A KING 5 poll conducted in May showed President Obama leading Republican Mitt Romney in Washington state by 14 points. But our July numbers show that lead is down slightly, with Obama leading 46 percent to 37 percent.

This is surprising news, Washigton state went big for Obama in 2008 and was expected to do so again. Perhaps the state outside of Seattle has grown tired of his antics.

If it really is a dead heat the Dem will win.

I’ve noticed in electoral projections that Romney hasn’t been able to pull off a victory, but as times progresses the amount of states that weaken to toss up or leaning Obama has continued to increase.

McKenna is a RINO’s RINO.

It will be ironic if he loses because of the same vote fraud he refused to investigate and prosecute during the first Gregoire-Rossi election.

McKenna didn’t prosecute the vote fraud because it would have so alienated Democrats, that he would have never had a chance to become governor, EVER.

Something's not right if Obama has to come to Seattle, like he did today to collect $$$. Normally the checks would be flowing in. Maybe the internals aren't so hot in WA.

And yes McKenna is a RINO. Still WAY better than the alternative.

He’s not much better. You don’t know him well enough to understand he is totally corrupt.

He is slipping, no doubt. The question beneath the surface is: "Why is the media so all in for this guy?"

So good of the WA Dems to have mail-in voting. Otherwise, incarcerated felons couldn’t cast their votes and push the Dems over the top again.

The only part of Washington State that’s for Obama is King County and the Seattle area. The reason for that is the massive influx of liberals from California in the last 20 years. The rest of the state is conservative. Probably 90% of the land area of the state will vote Republican, but the majority of the population are the tree-hugging California transplants.

Same thing across the river in Oregon. The Portland area is the Moscow of the west coast. The rest of the state where normal people live votes Republican.

In both states its disgusting.

Because they are puny little fascist at heart with so many issues they have a full subscription and it is their mask, just like him...

Seattle/King County once had a very active communist party. It seems a lot of people there long for the good old days.

Yeah, McKenna is no better than the Dem candidate, Congressman Inslee. Inslee surely would have sued the Obama Administration over Obamacare, right?

McKenna will become the first Republican elected as governor of WA since 1980 (!), if WA Republicans don’t screw it up by voting for a write-in in the general election or something stupid like that. Either McKenna or Inslee will be elected governor—this is really a no-brainer.

A different poll (by “Elway” never heard of them) has the rat leading McKenna 43-36.

This King 5 poll has Cantwell up only 11 in the Senate race 51-40. Just above 50%.
