Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, a rising star in the party and a potential vice-presidential pick for Mitt Romney, said this morning that he disagreed with Republican Rep. Michele Bachmanns baseless call to investigate Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the U.S. government.

Looks like I’m sending another e-mail to my Senator Marco Rubio. He’s not all we thought he would be it seems.
Some Freepers are understandably anxious to have a non white champion for conservatism, but Rubio is a dud.
Otherwise he's about as Conservative as any other upper-class hispanic in the Western hemisphere.
But but but he’s the ONLY VP pick that could help us beat Obama < /sarc
People better be damned concerned about what these “republicans” are afraid of.
I was a fan of Rubio till he endorsed Romney. Then I started to find out what he’s really all about. As far as I’m concerned, he can be Romney’s running mate. They deserve each other.
Amen!
I will no longer be associated with any group that supports Rubio
Rubio supporters are not conservatives.
Not only Rubio pushes Illegal Alien Amnesty, and supports Government funding of Global Warming nonsense...he is also is pro-Terrorist.
Bachmann is 100% correct on calling out Hillary’s asst who has relations w Muzzy Bro’hood
Maybe its time for Real Conservatives to dump the Tea Party...and start our own truly conservative movement. The Tea Party does not represent conservatism anymore
Romney has been awfully quiet on this issue as well. You would think the presumptive nominee would show some leadership and pick a side.
Ineligible and stupid is no way to go through the Senate, Mr. Rubio.
Funny how pointing out the obvious by Ms. Bachmann brings the critters out of the woodwork.
Makes you wonder what the real agenda is in DC.
It certainly is not protecting you and me.
F U MR!
What a frigging idiot turncoat. If you can’t see that there exists at least the suggestion of something seriously wrong with Huma and her position then you are do not deserve to represent the people. Get the heck out of the way and let grown ups handle things.
Bingo.
I agree with you, also, isn’t a Congress-critter SUPPOST to ask questions if something doesn’t smell right with them, in this case, Uma’s mother....I don’t see anything wrong with asking questions...if that upsets people, then they are in the wrong business....
The Brotherhood is NO different from the American Bund back in the 1930's
What are they THINKING!?!?!
Again I ask, what will these people think when they are paying the infidel taxes and being put do the axe for speaking about their precocious gay marriage?
Wake up Rubio! Oh yeah, and I am sure your amnesty bill grants it to the OTM (other than mexicans) who cross the border everyday too!
He is becoming part of the problem!
5.56mm
Oh please. Romney thought Obama’s visit with the families of those who died in Aurora was a good idea.
It’s McCain all over again.
Rice Gone! Rubio... Double Gone! Can we please get a real American!?
Strike three against M. R. I have to agree with Congresswoman Bachmann on this issue. To heck with PC, I want the muSLIMES out of the US.
Abedin should NEVER have been granted ANY security clearances. Not even 'confidential'.
Rubio looks white.
Rubio is a clueless tone-deaf little shill. I fail to see what the attraction is.
Go away Rubio!
Just when you get comfortable with someone, they fail yet again.
Rubio is just another worthless rino that will probably be a pain in the ass to conservatives for the next 20+ years.
Ok, I think I’m about ready to move to Israel.
America has become such a festering ****hole.
*spits*
WoW! I’’m shocked </s>
There is no place in America for muslims; in the middle east perhaps, but not here in America.
I think it was Frank Gaffney who said the GOP is just as deeply in the pockets of the muslim brotherhood as the democrats. The current GOP behavior isn’t encouraging.
Special Thanks to M. Bachmann for bringing this up.
Definitely provided a true test of the current players.
“I don’t understand why so many Freepers are enamored with Rubio”
Im a Floridian and a long time freeper. Rubio has always been a dumb dumb.
Gomert and Bachmann were both signed on to a PRIVATE letter asking simply how she got a security clearance considering her family’s background (as would happen for any ordinary citizrn trying to get a clearance). McShady the traitor read the letter on the Senate floor and started hammering away at Michelle. Now Rubio..... A pox on all of the so called conservatives who would sell this country out. Good for Gomert and Bachmann ....we could use dozens more of the same
Both he and Allen West have bad-mouthed the Tea Party. What is it with these supposed conservative politicians? Are they really so enamored with the Republican elites? It seems that with almost all politicians, it’s all about ME.
Give us Allen West
Reading the story it looks like he was at NPR and was answering to make a good impression on the liberal audience. May be a good way to endear himself to Romney, but not a good way to convince conservatives that he should be the VP pick. It’s sad that as far as conservatives have brought the GOP that we are scrambling for scraps at the table.
From Salon: Rubio condemns Bachmann - Republican Sens. Marco Rubio and Scott Brown joined John McCain in denouncing the congresswoman's Muslim witch hunt
What Rubio actually said: I can tell you that I dont share the feelings that are in that letter, he continued, And in fact, Im very very careful and cautious about ever making accusations like that about anyone.
He disagrees with her, I disagree with him. But, that hardly sounds like a condemnation of a Muslim witchhunt. Whenever I see any of these type articles coming out of the lame-stream press I usually want to read it myself and make my own conclusions.
Michelle has more cajones than Rubio. She will be/has been targeted by the GOP-e and will be aborted out of office. She has too much testosterone for the Olde Guard. It’s a shame.
Non-white? Rubio IS white.
I don’t get carried away over someone because they happen to be conservative and a minority. I like Allen West very much, but his skin color is a non-issue with me. I’m not going to fawn over someone just so liberals can think I’m tolerant.
I don’t understand the infatuation with Rubio, either. If he wasn’t Hispanic, he’d be a run-of-the-mill politician who might be slightly conservative.
Which begs the question, Where DOES Alan West stand on this debate?
“Gomert and Bachmann were both signed on to a PRIVATE letter asking simply how she got a security clearance considering her familys background (as would happen for any ordinary citizrn trying to get a clearance). “
_______
A leak to be investigated.......
:::cough:::
Wait till he figures out which way the wind is blowing, who stands where on the issue, and how he can benefit. Then he'll speak out.
I think Oliver North had it when he said something about Osama being terrifying.
The GOP behavior isn't any different from the Dem behavior.
He jumped the shark, for sure.
Bachmann is in a tough race this fall. She has to defeat BOTH parties.
The GOP HATES Conservatives, it’s time to leave.
Rubio has been nothing to me for some time. His immigration stance, now this, is more oriented toward outsiders than Americans. He’s toast to me.
The agenda is...Dictatorial Power. It looks more and more like CW2 is going to be necessary.
There’s a very good reason why the Founders put the Natural Born Citizen requirement in the Constitution.
Rubio is exhibit A.
No wait, Obama is exhibit A. Rubio is exhibit B.
Rubio has been nothing to me for some time. His immigration stance, now this, is more oriented toward outsiders than Americans. Hes toast to me.
And he’s as constitutionally prohibited from the office as is the present Interloper-in-chief!
If Romney doesn’t choose a true conservative this election may be a lot closer than it needs to be as many frustrated true Conservatives will be less than enthused about voting for a team of a lib and a half!
Romney quiet on brohood for obvious reason.
The issue is jobs, taxes, jobs, spending, jobs, borrowing, jobs, regulation. On that the GOP wins.
Appearing meanspirited by running against people rather than for ideas is the way to lose.
