Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, a rising star in the party and a potential vice-presidential pick for Mitt Romney, said this morning that he disagreed with Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s baseless call to investigate Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the U.S. government.

Rubio also co-sponsored PIPA until the last minute.

Rubio is a clueless tone-deaf little shill. I fail to see what the attraction is.

Go away Rubio!

Just when you get comfortable with someone, they fail yet again.

Rubio is just another worthless rino that will probably be a pain in the ass to conservatives for the next 20+ years.

There is no place in America for muslims; in the middle east perhaps, but not here in America.

I think it was Frank Gaffney who said the GOP is just as deeply in the pockets of the muslim brotherhood as the democrats. The current GOP behavior isn’t encouraging.

Special Thanks to M. Bachmann for bringing this up.

Definitely provided a true test of the current players.

Gomert and Bachmann were both signed on to a PRIVATE letter asking simply how she got a security clearance considering her family’s background (as would happen for any ordinary citizrn trying to get a clearance). McShady the traitor read the letter on the Senate floor and started hammering away at Michelle. Now Rubio..... A pox on all of the so called conservatives who would sell this country out. Good for Gomert and Bachmann ....we could use dozens more of the same

Both he and Allen West have bad-mouthed the Tea Party. What is it with these supposed conservative politicians? Are they really so enamored with the Republican elites? It seems that with almost all politicians, it’s all about ME.

Reading the story it looks like he was at NPR and was answering to make a good impression on the liberal audience. May be a good way to endear himself to Romney, but not a good way to convince conservatives that he should be the VP pick. It’s sad that as far as conservatives have brought the GOP that we are scrambling for scraps at the table.

While I agree with Bachmann that there should be an investigation into the Muslim Brotherhood connections and think that Rubio is wrong, what he said and what Salon blares in their headlines are two different things.

From Salon: Rubio condemns Bachmann - Republican Sens. Marco Rubio and Scott Brown joined John McCain in denouncing the congresswoman's Muslim witch hunt

What Rubio actually said: “I can tell you that I don’t share the feelings that are in that letter,” he continued, “And in fact, I’m very very careful and cautious about ever making accusations like that about anyone.”

He disagrees with her, I disagree with him. But, that hardly sounds like a condemnation of a Muslim witchhunt. Whenever I see any of these type articles coming out of the lame-stream press I usually want to read it myself and make my own conclusions.

Michelle has more cajones than Rubio. She will be/has been targeted by the GOP-e and will be aborted out of office. She has too much testosterone for the Olde Guard. It’s a shame.

Non-white? Rubio IS white.

I don’t get carried away over someone because they happen to be conservative and a minority. I like Allen West very much, but his skin color is a non-issue with me. I’m not going to fawn over someone just so liberals can think I’m tolerant.

I don’t understand the infatuation with Rubio, either. If he wasn’t Hispanic, he’d be a run-of-the-mill politician who might be slightly conservative.

Which begs the question, Where DOES Alan West stand on this debate?
