Skip to comments.Bill O’Reilly: Governor Palin ‘Was Not Really Very Nice’ to Romney
Posted on 07/22/2012 11:08:55 PM PDT by Mozilla
Via The Undefeated on Facebook, I discovered an article by Daria DiGiovanni about Bill OReillys coverage of what he called bad blood between Governor Palin and Mitt Romney. He used such a description to segue into his version of why the Governor has not been invited, at least not yet, to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa next month. Its clear he doesnt think such an invitation is forthcoming, either, because, according to him, at this stage of the game, shed have to sleep in a tent.
Bill, of course, hardly ever lets people talk, which is, first of all, rude. Second, this means hes doing most of the talking himself, which, when it comes to Governor Palin, he too often gets wrong. Tonight was no exception. Daria calls him out on it, defining his interview on the matter as dishonest:
Anyway, its not surprising that Bill couldnt wait to devote a segment tonight to the GOPs alleged snub of Palin at the RNC, which Ive already noted would be a HUGE mistake, if true. And once again, he was completely dishonest in accusing Palin of trashing Romney. Yes, she like many other conservatives supported another candidate. And in interviews when prompted, she offered her suggestions as to how Romney could connect with the base of the party.
But trash him? She most certainly did not.
What makes this so ironic is that Mitt Romneys surrogates have been trashing Palin for years.
Bill OReillys bad-blood-may-be-overstating-it, not-really-very-nice segment about Governor Palin was a farce and just more of the same. Methinks hes still stewing over her long-overdue demand that he stop interrupting and actually allow her to answer a question.

Mark Levins excellent take-down of the 8 pm-er here.
Team Mitt Disses Governor Palin.
Mutt’s peeps have been denigrating Palin for years.
Ted Baxter doesn’t like Palin.
The world knows Romney has been using his minions to trash Sarah for 4 years and BOR doesn’t. He’s not misinformed, he’s a LIAR.
Then when SARAH doesn’t run - the cult leader trashes the conservative that does run, NEWT. With millions spent on advertising every made up LIE possible to deceive voters.
In the end, I hope Sarah continues with her own venue and let the GOP do what they ‘think’ they can with their LIBERAL candidate without the conservatives.
He’s a loud mouth.
I never liked him on Entertainment tonight.
Why does anyone who claims to be conservative watch his show? The world wonders.
Both O’Really and Myth seem to be stealth socialists..
They just don’t like the speed Zero-Obama is going to convert the U.S. to full fledged socialism..
They both know but ignore that communism “IS” socialism..
Myth and O’Really are not alone in being stealth socialists either..
Many of those at FOX are as well..
Democracy is the road to socialism. -Karl Marx
Democracy is indispensable to socialism.
The goal of socialism is communism. -V.I. Lenin
The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism .-Karl Marx
I don’t recall specific incidents of Sarah critiquing Mitt, but she’d sure have a right to do that with Mitt’s problematic past playing the liberal in Massachusetts. If that’s being not nice, then the world needs more not nice people.
Screw Willard, the lying Socialist weasel.
We all know that billy and milty swap dresses and high heels, and are just SO JEALOUS of kick ass Sarah. They’re such little b%#ches doncha think?
Thanks for the post. It reminds me of why I haven’t watched that a$$, Bill O’Reilly, for well over a year.
As for Romney, I can’t stand him, but I hate Obama’s guts. So, while I have had no intention of voting for RINO Romney, I have had fleeting thoughts that I could be forced to, just to get Obama out of our lives. However, attacking Palin in any way whatsoever, will absolutely kill ANY chance that I would even give him any last minute consideration.
We are so damn screwed. I hope that those that helped to stick us with Romney, are forced to sacrifice the most when we suffer another 4 years of the corrupt -homosexual - muslim Obama.
Dennis Miller is on once a week.
Poor baby Romney.
O'Reilly is a legend in his own mind.
He has good guests on, but deludes himself into thinking his
audience is more interested in Bill's views than his guest's.
When you look up egomaniac in the dictionary, it says, "Bill O'Reilly".
I feel sorry for his family.
Can you imagine having to live with that overbearing douchebag?
Bill who? Didn’t he die already????
Dennis Miller is on once a week.”
I listen to Miller’s late evening radio show on a regular basis. Thoroughly enjoyable and don’t have to put up with Blowhard Bill. I refuse to watch O’Reilly, I don’t care who is on there.
Ted Baxter is trying to agitate problems between Romney and Palin. He (Ted) dislikes her and hopes she gets shunned. I would give anything to see Ted Baxter get laid off and see the Sarah Palin Zone replace his show.
Well I don’t watch him so whether he is there or not, I could care less.
Sarah is too qualified and too valuable to America for that nonsense. Any dumbass can do what BOR is doing - like LIE, good job for mitt.
I quit when Baxter badmouthed both Michele Bachmann and Christine O’Donnell in 2010. I do feel Laura Ingraham should get her own show against him.
Don’t forget Waters’ World.
The only way he is watchable is to record and fast forward.
Roger Ailes’ “course correction” will result in Fox News sliding into the same ratings abyss that MSDNC and Cable News Network find themselves in.
Two RINO misogynist liars in heat going after
conservative women .... for their Obama.
The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.
Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008
Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the Diva leak was Nicolle Wallaces husband."
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.miller is good.
That would be fun to watch. He got his ass handed to him trying to do talk radio.
BOR is a POS
Romney is spending a ton of election campaign funds keeping track of exactly where Sarah Palin is 24/7. He absolutely does NOT want her crashing his coronation party.
When did Ted Knight pose with Bill O’Reilly?
The video is not as bad as the article makes it out to be.
Bill O’Reily states that Sarah Palin SHOULD be given the chance to speak.
It's a lousy job but someone has to do it, LOL.
Unfortunately, his show consistently has the highest ratings in the time slot....his is a vast audience......and therefore, he and his idiocy and populist statism are like a toxin coated in leprechaun charm.
He repeated again the other night that his best bud, Obama, is neither a commie or a socialist. He stated the terms are "too simplistic".
He then stated with a smug straight face that the Usurper is, instead, a "social-justice anti-capitalist" which I guess is more "simplistic".
This loony term, on closer analysis, actually is complimentary to Obama when uncritically absorbed by OWS gangs, do-gooders and economics-uneducated viewers.
Laura Ingraham is visibly under self-imposed personal restraint when on the Factor but she does her best. She does manage to correct Bill's repeated ignorances a lot when she can get a word in edgewise and when he isn't stepping all over her lines. But it's obvious she has to soften her bite and/or keep her mouth shut on many issues.....however, one can usually sense her utter frustration when she rolls her eyes, shakes her head or manages a sickly grin when he blatantly exhibits his uninformed pinheadedness.
He was set straight beautifully the other night when he doubted Sarah would be at the Tampa GOP convention.....and if she came, all the lodging are booked already. His guest informed him that she had nailed down reservations a long time ago.
Actually, we Freepers knew this from reading about it on this forum. O'Reilly should read Free......oh, wait.....he used to.....and then he made it a point to trash FR publicly. There's nothing "fair and balanced" about his opinion of Free Republic.com.
