I don't care if he is a schizophrenic. Let the state put a final needle in his arm.

Of course he does! Why, as he was attending OWS rally’s in his Blac Bloc outfit, he assumed that he was at a Tea Party function. Easy mistake.

So, he's schizoid.

You're telling us it's not his fault?

Then, who's fault is it?

Oh, I know!

IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!!

(Yes, someone actually said that already...)

That as many or more people will die in "random" shootings on the streets of major U.S. cities, Chicago in particular, on an average weekend, this July, still escapes the notice of our entertainment news-readers and other media.

What bothers me immensely is not the reaction to the psychopaths who suddenly start firing on random citizens, it's the lack of outrage at the murderous gangs who torture their victims to death, sometimes in front of other victims. Some of the stories are too horrific to repeat.

Im going to take a wild guess and say that he was probably a habitual marijuana user. Habitual use can increase the Chan es of schizzo by 300%.

"You get over to the Justice Department and tell Holder
to make sure the FBI keeps that shooter from talking.
Supposedly the guy can't remember anything at all but
we are too close to the election to take any chances."

Holmes neighbor knows the shooter and said he just saw him and had a drink with him the other day. He thought he was still in school and was just another typical student. He never mentioned him being schizo

Thanks for telling the truth, although you will get flamed for it.

We’re already hearing cries about tighter gun laws. The common thread running through last night’s massacre, Arizona, Columbine, and many other such incidents are the deranged minds of the shooters. Yet mental health assessment and intervention is so very hard to get in this country.

We don’t understand it, we don’t want to talk about it, and some people don’t even acknowledge that mental illness exists.

They are those who have never encountered it.

For those of us who have, we know that getting help for someone who adamantly refuses to acknowledge a problem is nigh impossible. Keeping a schizophrenic or violent bipolar patient on meds is also very hard, because they feel better and stronger and on top of their world unmedicated.

Treatment facilities can keep them only until they’re medicated enough to no longer be considered a threat. Then they’re released, go off the meds, and it starts all over again.

Flame away. I just told a truth that needs to be a national discussion. These kinds of tragedies can be avoided, if this guy was, indeed, mentally ill.

Maybe he isn’t ill, just evil. Remains to be seen. However, if he was, betcha his family knew it and were powerless to intervene.

While the cry for gun control over this is deplorable (to to mention 180 degree illogical), and while you are correct about adult-onset schizophrenia, its delusional states and associations with situational aggression, what happened in Aurora simply does not fit those patterns.

Holmes (the shooter), while being currently described as a loner and untrained, exhibited nothing BUT training and support. He had access to a variety of weapons and explosives, he knew how to wire them into booby traps, he created a dual-site scenario, he made use of toxic gas and patterned his behavior after the psychopathy portrayed by Hollywood in Dark Knight Rises.

This is NOT a level of organization someone suffering from schizophrenia is even remotely capable of carrying out. In addition, it strongly suggests both training and supply help.

Oh, and the fact that Obama intends to sign a treaty that attempts to erase ALL private gun ownership in the country next week, AND that this wipes the Huma Abedin/Hillary Clinton investigation AND the Roberts Obamacare decision off the front page, AND directly mimics the basic Fast and Furious Democrat plan to unleash small arms mass murder and then call for gun control, is ENTIRELY coincidental.

This might be schizophrenia, although it’s extremely rare for schizophrenics to murder, even more rare for them to mass murder. The fact that his behavior included methodical and logical steps counts against the schizophrenia idea.

Seems more likely this slaughter is the offspring of OWS.

The problem with the mental illness angle is that it seems to be the excuse for everything. True, there is such a thing as mental illness, but it gets thrown around a lot in murder cases. A good lawyer can say his client is mentally ill, the judge or jury is bamboozled, and we the taxpayers get to feed, clothe and house the SOB for the rest of his life.

Many years ago, a dear friend was murdered by a student in her English as a Second Language class. Thanks to that mental illness defense, the guy is now in a prison mental health unit. But he's laughing his butt off. He bragged to a relative that he has it made...doesn't have to do anything for himself, just watches tv all day, while the taxpayers support him. Someday I hope that another inmate will someday rid us of this worthless POS.

I have to admit that when I saw the first picture of the guy today released by the press that my first thought was, “this guy looks like someone you would have seen at one of the occupy protests.”

Told my wife the same as she showed me the pic on her cell phpne as we were driving to Monticello today.

I wonder if he actually attended any?

If he did, you will never here it from the MSM. Blogosphere, talk radio, or Fox would have to dig it up.
