While the cry for gun control over this is deplorable (to to mention 180 degree illogical), and while you are correct about adult-onset schizophrenia, its delusional states and associations with situational aggression, what happened in Aurora simply does not fit those patterns.

Holmes (the shooter), while being currently described as a loner and untrained, exhibited nothing BUT training and support. He had access to a variety of weapons and explosives, he knew how to wire them into booby traps, he created a dual-site scenario, he made use of toxic gas and patterned his behavior after the psychopathy portrayed by Hollywood in Dark Knight Rises.

This is NOT a level of organization someone suffering from schizophrenia is even remotely capable of carrying out. In addition, it strongly suggests both training and supply help.

Oh, and the fact that Obama intends to sign a treaty that attempts to erase ALL private gun ownership in the country next week, AND that this wipes the Huma Abedin/Hillary Clinton investigation AND the Roberts Obamacare decision off the front page, AND directly mimics the basic Fast and Furious Democrat plan to unleash small arms mass murder and then call for gun control, is ENTIRELY coincidental.

It definitely hasn't escaped my notice that the Small Arms treaty, and the general and urgent agenda of the present criminal administration, can all be served by the rabid and rapid exploitation of this massacre. The apparent anti-Jacobin message of the motion picture itself was already becoming a problem for the White House occupiers.

I'm not a big fan of mind-control scenarios but I'm also not ruling such a possibility.

Ceaseless hustling and hysteria are definite tactics of the Junta, and the whole incident seems way too convenient in serving that agenda, controlling the news cycle.

All that's within my own practical realm of real power, however, is controlling my own reaction to these events, to see their exploitation of the tragedy and pointing that out, regardless of what the motivation of the actual shooter.

I will admit that the level of organization, also does not fit the pattern of most schizophrenics. Though his being apparently lucid and normal before "going on vacation" from his meds does fit that pattern in many cases, especially among the very intelligent schizophrenics, and especially at early onset among many young adult males. I do know this fit the pattern of at least two such "patients" in my own experience.

One of these could have built a flying saucer, before becoming completely symptomatic, and sold tickets.

If not the Junta, certainly the devil, offered aid and assistance. The latter's agenda was equally well-served by this Joker's actions.

I don’t know where you get that. Not all schizophrenics are rendered unable to function.

Schizophrenics can be highly intelligent. The disease doesn’t reduce their intellect, but it does make them subject to crazed thoughts and delusions. Some do a very good job at masking the disease because of their intelligence, which is a problem because they don’t get the help they need. Fortunately most don’t do something violent.
