RUSH: You know who's next? Doctors. And it's not Obamacare. It's not Medicare copayments. It's not any of that. You know how they're gonna go after doctors? Very simple, and I might even see Obama make this speech this summer. It might even happen before the campaign.
It depends on how successful they judge this current tactic to be. See if you can envision President Obama, the president of the United States, after giving a speech where he says, "You got a business? You couldn't build that! Somebody else made that happen," transform to doctors. "Is it really fair that people should get rich off the misery and sickness of their neighbors? Where is the justice in that? How come they should have a bigger house than you do or bigger car than you do?
Obama: Doctors Choose Amputation Because Surgeons Get Paid More Than Physicians
"How come somebody should have more money just because they are capitalizing on the sick and misery that you've experienced? You know how these doctors are! They'll amputate a leg when they don't have to just for the extra 30 grand, or they'll pull a tooth or they'll do whatever." Obama has already said that. So how big a stretch is it for Obama to say, "You know, it's just not moral. It's never been right that people should get wealthy simply by treating the sick.
"That's something ought to happen for nothing, out of the goodness of people's hearts."

Let us NEVER FORGET where ObamaCARE originated,
the very moment that DEATH PANELS and socialized medicine
entered the American way of life to destroy it.
There will be a bull market for offshore medical clinics, likely in the Caribbean, short plane ride from Florida.
That’s where wealthy Americans (and a lot of desperate middle class Americans too) will go.
If I was a young doctor, I would be working hard on this plan. Find a country that will give you the best deal on setting up a clinic. You’ll see Mayo, Johns Hopkins, etc doing this.
I can see the argument coming on how Medicare is expensive, because of overpaid doctors, sure.
You are such a shill for Obama that it is a public joke
A bad freerePUBLIC joke
Nearly 200,000 of the nation’s top 1-percent are doctors. Except for lawyers working for security, commodity brokerage and investment companies, office-based physicians (i.e., largely those who own their own practices) have the highest odds of any occupational group of being in the top 1 percent. http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/newsgraphics/2012/0115-one-percent-occupations/index.html?ref=business
So yeah, it’s probably only a matter of time before the Obama administration aims its guns directly at doctors.
I know nothing about my Doctor's financial situation. But I do know:
And yes, he's thinking about retiring because of the nobamacare mess.
At my last visit he said, "All I want to do is care for and heal people. Why can't the government get out of my way?"
A friend of mine is an orthopedist.....his practice no longer accepts medicaid and after health care from hell is passed I doubt they will accept medicare.....reason being- poor reimbursement.........they will be reducing hip and knee replacement surgery reimbursement by 29% this fall and cutting reimbursements to all docs across the board by 12% in January ......his speciality is hip and knee surgery.......and his outcomes are hard to beat but RNs make more money than he does.....
Or put hospital ships in international waters off America’s coasts.
The Maoist revolution in China rounded up most of the doctors and executed them or imprisoned the really good ones for use when needed by party members.
Before retiring 4-5 yrs ago, I was reimbursed (paid), in my private practice, only one-third of my normal rate. But, because I gave Medicaid patients full service, I was inundated with Medicaid patients. Despite their abundant numbers, their reimbursement handled only the fixed costs of my practice.
They were delighted to slurp contentedly at the federal trough.
Now that reimbursements are being cut back, they're all undergoing sudden and unexpected conversions to free marketeers......
That is where we are headed.
I trust that is true. I can believe it when a doctor says he’s barely making it, when he’s only pulling in $300 grand, because you have expenses like your student loans or building, nursing assistants, etc.
But that probably would stop Obama from playing class politics.
He’s got to be paid quite a bit to vomit his crap all over the amount of threads that he has these days. It’s a full time job being an Obama apologist.
Average W-2 income for an orthopedist in America is about 500k.
Really. So that’s what I’ve been doing. Slurping at the Medicare trough. That’s interesting because Medicare does not pay enough to make seeing Medicare patients worthwhile. The rest of the insured patients have to make up the difference to keep hospitals in business. When I discharge a Medicare patient from the hospital, I cannot find a pcp in the community taking new Medicare patients—they can’t afford to. I recover about 1/3 of what I bill across the board. Why don’t you tell me how you would like it if your employer suddenly told you they will only pay you 30% of what you are entitled to?
In addition, I work my butt off for every dollar I get from Medicare. Why don’t you save your scorn for the 50% of the country that slurps from the public trough without paying anything. Oh, and then I get to pay tax on the severely discounted “income” I get from Medicare. A deal at twice the price! You are right. Medicare has put me on easy street!
The PRC managed to warehouse professional groups until needed. Once Nixon broke the ice, business types came running out of the woodwork.
