PAWLENTY GETS A SECOND LOOK: Mitt Romney has already made his decision on who hell pick as his running mate, an announcement which could come this week, according to a New York Times report, and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who shares a close relationship with the Romney family and has become an energetic cheerleader for the GOP nominee, sits at the top of the list four years after he was passed over for the number two spot by John McCain. After a short-lived presidential bid of his own last year, Mr. Pawlenty is again being considered for the Republican ticket. His fate is in the hands of Mr. Romney, a rival-turned-friend, who is on the cusp of announcing his vice-presidential selection. Mr. Romney has reached a decision, his friends believe, and he may disclose it as soon as this week, the

White bread, meet milk toast......I am sooooo excited.....
Let Newt destroy Biden in a debate - please!
Pick a Purple borderline state and a moderate “conservative” (rino) and or pro-Amnesty. That will be our man or women.
It’s going to be Jindal. I’d be willing to be your house on it.

Dang,no salt or pepper either.
So is Thune per another thread.
Looks like the Condi Rice trial balloon crashed. [Thank goodness]
He is pro-life.
He is also a serious Christian.
Raised a Hindu, he choose to become a christian as a young adult. He's not just a christian because that's what his parents were. That will have a strong appeal to conservative christians--a group Romney needs to at least mollify.
I like Pawlenty, but he isn’t going to generate any votes for Romney.
I like Rubio too.
RE: Its going to be Jindal. Id be willing to be your house on it.
OK, but how does he stand the test of the Natural Born clause? Everytime either Jindal or Marco Rubio’s names are brought up, inevitably the question of meeting the constitutional requirement arises.
Like Jindal a lot. GOP will have to figure out how to deal with the goofy Phlegmocrat questions on how a person of Indian descent would deal with a militant Pakistani government should the situation arise.
Heart says West. Gut says Jindal. Brain says Portman. But what do I know - it’s fun to guess anyway. ABO baby!
LOL! Are you trying to start something? :)

The NBC clause is a moot point. If the powers that be have no problem with a Kenyan in the White Hut, then certainly there is no obstacle with Jindal. He was born in the USA. That nowadays is all that matters.
she waged her finger in obamas face so well—
if they chose her she could be the mouthpiece for all
that is bad in obamaland
Confidence by conservatives (in Romney) already teeter-totters on the “anybody but Obama” precipice, but if he doesn’t pick a strong conservative for VP, I’m afraid he’s wasted a lot of doners’ money as patriots will just remove the clothespins from their noses and stay home on election.
As Romney seems determined to morph into John McCain, coupled with the vote “engineering” of the Obama crowd, we’ll have a front row seat to the demise of America.
Romney is not a fighter. He doesn’t have the savvy to keep an ace up his sleeve.
IMHO, he can overcome the Bain Capital thing, and the tax return reluctance, but the wrong choice for VP will do him in.
Col. West for VP would be a master stroke, but I won’t hold my breath, because West is not a RINO.
It’s not that Pawlenty is a bad guy, or has too much baggage or anythinZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
