Many are talking about teaching the GOP a lesson. As a fellow Freeper suggested - teach the Dems a lesson instead! 'Penalties' is the red hot topic. We the people can impose penalties on the violators of the Constitution by voting them out!
So teach them a lesson by dishing out the most severe penalties - vote them out!
I am pissed off enough that I might actuall yvote for Romney
I was planning to vote GOP across the board, but write in Palin/Gingrich for the top spots
but I may just go GOP across the board - and I intend to work as hard as I ever have in my life to get democraps voted out of office... then turn a steely gaze directly on the newly ewlected GOP and tell them “you’re out next” if they fail to repeal this P.O.S.
Roberts and others (perhaps yourself) ignore the frightening reconstitution of an electorate based on massive cultural, political, educational, demographic and economic shifts in American society. I fear that we and and our like minded citizens are on the short side of this shift and are no longer capable en masse to keep the progressive barbarians from coming though the gates. I have opted for rural concealment and as much self-sufficiency as I can muster.
Not sure I follow.
Then when Romney and team RINO (Boehner and McConnell) screw us we vote a straight Dem ticket to ‘teach them a lesson’ ???
I think the Dems have a similar plan as you, to vote Republicans out to ‘teach them a lesson’.
I am trying to emphasize this - for those who want to teach the GOP a lesson, why not teach the Dems a lesson instead - by voting them out.
I think it defeats the purpose to vote in all the Dems when you are angry at the GOP.
It does not make sense to let obozo stay just because you are angry at the GOP.
Teach the lessons where they really need them.
Imagine if we always manage to vote out all the socialists dems, won’t the GOP get the idea that we the voters have the power?
The power to impose penalties where it really hurts!
That is the spirit - turn your anger into actions that help to attain our goals!
You may be right, but we cannot quit. That is what they want.
The obozo coup might be too successful for their own good. There is tremendous backlash giving us the opportunity to fight back. When the oppressed can’t tolerate it any more, they rebel. And rebel we will!
Do not quit even before we begin the rebellion.
In just a few months we have the chance to vote them out! Capitalize on all the anger to kick them all out!
Penalize them, teach them a lesson by voting them out!
I have heard this before but the problem is that if we don't have a way to teach the RINO party a lesson then they see that as a blank check to screw us.
Now Levin or Rush might say to punish them in the primary but support them-in the general. But the primary process that pick’s McCain and then Romney seems ill suited for that purpose.
I think it defeats the purpose to vote in all the Dems when you are angry at the GOP.
Wow, what a novel concept.
However, be sure to write slow, so that it gets absorbed into the grey matter.
Otherwise, it goes right through without any friction whatsoevr, as you will soon see.
I disagree, If you vote out the opposition because you are mad with your own party, won’t they feel that it is an affirmation of their actions. I do not see the causeality between voting out the opposition making a change in the party.
I beg to differ -
if we had elected McCain, we would not have OBAMACARE!
no zcars, no horrendous ‘rules of engagement’ killing our soldiers, no ‘fast and furious’, no giving up our sovereignty by signing stupid ‘international treaties’.....
We might not have got the best constitutional gov under McCain, but we would not have s muslim domestic terrorist usurper obozo pushing his obozocare and gun control and commie EPA agendas!
Now if we leave obozo there because we think we can’t fight it, or because we believe we must not help to elect the GOP’s chosen candidate only to be screwed again, then, in effect,
we screw ourselves, because in doing so we get ourselves socialists/marxists/obozo!
Teach GOP a lesson by penalizing ourselves? Not very wise, is it?
Vote out the dems, then concentrate on the GOP!
Unite and vote to reverse the tide.
The answer is to get rid of the current bunch in November and join the Republican Party - to fix it. This is not a process that will be complete with this election or the next five. This is a long struggle that has to be fought.
It’s not a matter of teaching the Republicans anything. It’s a matter of fixing the Republican Party in every Commonwealth and State. It takes lots of work, but it’s sure one hell of an easier battlefield than what our veterans have seen.
We need to get great, principled conservative candidates elected. This starts at the local level by locating them and getting them elected. Already there is a new group of candidates that have the proper credentials. Most will lose as they reach a point, but some will continue.
In Virginia, my candidates didn’t win - this time. But they’ll be back and we’re stronger with volunteers and voter lists. I’m going to vote straight Republican this year to get the Marxist out. The next step will be to hold the Republican replacements to their word - and grow more candidates. This can and must be done.
‘vote out the opposition because you are mad with your own party’
No I am not advocating that! I am saying we must vote out the opposition DESPITE our anger at our own party.
Vote out the opposition then deal with
‘my own party’
Perhaps I am not making it clear -
Unite with your party despite your anger at them and vote out the opposition to penalize the opposition, then deal with your own party. Show the GOP just as we can vote out the Dems, we can vote out the GOP as well!
If we had McCain then Pelosi would still have the House and Reid would have over 60 in the Senate.
More-so McCain would be putting the Republican brand on Democrat bills that they sent him.
Remember that bailouts and amnesty and stimulus and Greeen energy and to lesser extent personal mandates were all good under Republicans( as we were lectured over and over)in power , but bad under Obama. A party can NEVER be taken seriously with such hypocrisy.
‘Im going to vote straight Republican this year to get the Marxist out. The next step will be to hold the Republican replacements to their word - and grow more candidates. This can and must be done.’
Couldn’t have said it better!
But, you are not showing that you are voting any of the Republicans out, so they will assume that it is an affirmation of what they did, and in the Senate, it is a long 6 years for anyone voted in this year.
And, 2 years is an awful long time in politics for a memory to affect actions. Electorate temper tantrums rarely last more than one election cycle... Perot ring a bell?
It might be obvious. It is not a novel concept, but some
people are so hung up on teaching the GOP a lesson, they forget it is more effective to teach the opposition a lesson.
A friendly reminder won’t hurt -
vote the dems out as a penalty and a lesson to them!
Of course, where there are conservative candidates against Rinos, vote out the Rinos.
If it is a choice between D and R only, then vote out the D and hold the R’s feet to the fire.
To sum up -
don’t penalize yourself while penalizing the GOP. Penalize the obvious enemy - the Dems - by voting them out.
thats rich...mcqueeegacare, and grahmnesty, and shutdown of gitmo and etc etc etc all passed by reaching across the aisle to our collegial *friends* in a bi-partisan unity with the rin-o-p seal of approval...
this 'vote the dems out' logic falls flat when theres no better alternative candidate to vote *for* that wont ram the bipartisan screw to us...being as tho there isnt a lever for voting *against* a candidate, I'll save all this energy for safeguarding my family from the destruction being wrought on us by the entire CONgress in general......
Vote for the RINO or the puppy gets it.
Romney may be a lib but if Obama gets re-elected he will rape your wife and molest your kids. Do you want that to happen? No??? Then give all your $$$ to Romney.
