I know the reason for all the silver ling articles. It’s not to convince US that there is a silver lining. It’s to convince Roberts that he’s not completely hated by conservatives so that there’s a way back ‘home.’ If Roberts feels he’s hated by conservatives, he’ll just say “oh screw ‘em” and be like Souter, who doesn’t even pretend to care about the Constitution.

Let me get this straight. The liberal elite media threatens to come out guns blazing against Roberts and the Supreme Court if Obamacare isn't upheld, and that is sufficient to make Roberts cravenly cave and crap on the constitution for Obama. But somehow after all that, we think being nice to John Roberts is the way to make him do what you want? I don't know if that theory holds up, but the GOP is the stupid party so who knows.
