What is it with these freakin female teachers trolling the schools for dates? I know people joke about this but it really is sick. Adults should not be trolling the high schools for sex partners, whether they are 18 or 13. We live in a society where all boundaries of propriety have been thrown out the window.

I know a black guy who has his masters and is dating a white woman and he truly loves her and is not using her. He is a great guy. Kinda has that Denzel Washington look.

While I’ll state teachers shouldn’t be messing around with their students, you are undoubtedly correct. As long as the male student is sixteen or over, I just don’t see it the same as a male teacher taking advantage of a female student. Well-meaning people equate female teachers with male students as being as wrong as male teachers with female students. The former involves two horny people, while the latter involves one horny person (the male teacher) and one lovelorn female student. Two entirely different circumstances. I seriously doubt any male student who had an affair with a sexy female teacher regretted it either at the time or remembering it down the road.
Now that our government's socialist-entitlment schools have been utterly godless since the mid-60s why are we surprised that grandparents and parents haven't a clue about child discipline, and illegitimacy is zooming even among whites? THE COMMUNISTS ARE CHEERING! ( especially BILL AYERS!)
One of the goals of the communist party was destruction of the family. Well!....Government schooling with great input from Dewey has been working hard at this for at least a century.
Compulsory and socialist-entitlement schooling was a progressive idea beginning in the mid-1800s. Progressives have always controlled curriculum development and teacher training. Dewey is one of the most famous.
By the way, Bill Ayers didn't get where he was without a LOT of communist and hard core socialist greasing the way. His mentors were from my father's generation, born 1913.

The boy's parents were given custody of the child. Then when the teacher was released she married the young man and the child was separated from his grandparents to live with his sick biologic parents.

Then there are these romantic fantasies that abound about hot female teachers. Instead, think of the manipulative Mrs. Robinson in the film “The Graduate”. I can imagine it goes like this:

I'm not entirely sure that's as accurate as we generally believe; there have been times where folks got married in the young teens. (I'm pretty sure that Jesus's day was one such.) Besides, we've got a pretty f`ed-up system about determining 'mature'/responsible: there's 16 (old enough to drive), 18 (old enough for tobacco; to serve in the military; and legal age of majority), 21 (old enough for alcohol), <= 26 (old enough to be a 'child' on insurance)...

I'm going to play the other side of this for a moment. She paid her debt to society [7yrs], and not only that, but married the guy she had a kid with. The boy, now 20, obviously assented to the marriage. Sounds like the two of them were taking responsibility for their actions. Why is that bad?
Hell, their kid[s] might be far better off than most because they have parents who show such a sense of responsibility.

That may be truer than not; though I don't think your illustrative story above fits with it: there's no reason that the blackmailer should/would get back together with the victim (unless he's been "born into money" or such).
