SOLIPSISM [sol-ip-siz-uhm] (noun): 1) Philosophy: the theory that only the self exists, or can be proved to exist. 2) Extreme preoccupation with and indulgence of ones feelings, desires, etc.; egoistic self-absorption. 3) Barack Obama.
President Obama is undoubtedly many things to many people. Liberals see him as a genius, conservatives see him as a meddlesome dilettante. Liberals fawn over rhetorical skills, conservatives say the credit goes to his teleprompter. Liberals think he knows it all, conservatives think hes a know-it-all.
Fine.
But if theres an attribute central to Barack Hussein Obama which all objective, reasonable people should be able to recognize, it has to be his historic self-absorption. Indeed, not since Maximilien Robespierre created and placed himself atop of the Cult of the Supreme Being has the world seen such an insufferable ego.
In light of that, what follows is a compilation of his twenty most impossibly self-absorbed moments, listed in reverse order. Frankly, this is well overdue. Note that originally this list was going to be limited to ten, and then fifteen examples, but there was simply too much material.

Apes that eat figs? Was he making a statement on muslims?
Wow. I knew he was a self-absorbed wannabe dictator but seeing it all compiled into one list....the hubris is stunning.
For this alone, I am looking forward to his concession speech in November.
Incredibly good. I’ll save most of this for later reading and savor every word.
The Ape Fig poem needed a few fig fart references and he should have used pigs because it rhymes with figs.
Oh, I didn’t know LOL meant “Lost Our Lunch.”
That one about the woman who was buried in an Obama t-shirt was stunning.

How about TMGU (Threw My Guts Up)
I remember that from the campaign. Of course, like most of the anecdotal support for CommieCare it turned out to be a lie.
You gots to read this......
The poem is comedy gold.
He'll never make one.
Carney will come out and announce Baraq's new show on MSNBC from 7 to 9 every weeknight starting Jan 22, 2013
LOL! Yeah, you might be right about that. :D
Nope. Board of Director gigs for “green companies” and speech tours for Zero. His $450,000 for life retirement will keep him on the golf greens for life.
Smoke weed in high school. B/C average in college. Connections to get into Harvard Law. Community organize. Get elected. Ruin country. Retire.
I don’t think Baraq’s ego would let him turn down a tv gig.
Obama's "Poem" is typical of the disjointed, mismatched word jumbles tossed out as art by college druggies for the last 50 or 60 years.
To paraphrase Obama's arrogant views on American Exceptionalism:
He is creative, intuitive and exceptional - just like 50 million other whining, idiotic, stoners.
To be fair, his poem was actually more interesting than William Carlos Williams’ poetry.
And by more interesting, I mean it made me laugh even harder.
The style was basically stolen from Williams—it could have been a Williams pardody, except apparently O wrote the poem in all seriousness.
And guess what? Having a poem published doesn’t make youfa landmark editor or writer. I have 3 poems published (and if I may be bold they are better than O’s) and I’m not famous or more awesome because of it. Writers write because they love the craft...
Apparently O writes because he’s just that awesome and this makes him look as edgy as W. C. Williams.
By the way, if you haven’t read any Williams, do it. It’s worth at least a few chuckles and WTH’s.
He writes about plums, but at least not about apes and figs.
When taken as a whole, as this article does—and there’s more not included—it’s stupifying. Great article. Couldn’t stop reading with a slight smile on my face. Everyone should read the whole thing, if only as a warning of something to avoid. It’s very unattractive to think so highly of oneself.
I was stunned when O told the Brady Campaign that he was working “under the radar” on their behalf to take the teeth out of the second amendment. (I guess he was referencing the expected hue and cry for more gun control as a result of “Fast and Furious”)
Does he really view our constitution as some minor inconvenience he can ignore at will?
Does he really think it’s OK to work against the freedoms of the people for political support from single-issue zealots?
And does he really think that it’s OK to work out of public view to pay off the favors he owes to certain groups for their support?
The Chicago Way is NOT the American Way!
This is one of the all time best articles I have ever read. Thanks for posting the link.
