I agree with you generally. I will say that everything broke down concerning that terrorist at Fort Hood.

Nonetheless, Russian troops are ho-hum discussed on the northern border of Israel.

Please support your assertion that Russia is the country spoken of in Ezekiel 38.

In order for Ezekiel 38 to be fulfilled a massive army has to invade Israel. Please tell me how a small contingent of Russian Special forces protecting an already established Russian naval base equals an invasion of Israel?

Sure. Hard to strafe a demonstration without locking and loading.

“...On the up side - our Tridents that nobody knows where and when they are with their nuclear warheads give me a warm fuzzy feeling...”

Don’t get too fuzzy. Those missiles cannot be fired unless authorized by the POTUS. I highly doubt the POS we have right now would allow it; especially if the trail led to an islamic nation. This fruitcake would probably welcome it.

Move on Russians in Syria? We are not going to move on Russians anywhere. Fuhgeddaboudit. They ignore the UN when it suits them, and if they land troops in Syria they will be unopposed--except by the Syrian rebels I suppose.

I don't know about that as President Reagan sent unarmed US troops into Beirut in 1982-83 as “peacekeepers” (or to prevent the Israelis from decimating the PLO there). The Marines waded ashore with their M-16s with NO CLIPS in the rifles! They were forbidden to insert their clips!! Within a year, the Hizbollah blew up the Marine compound with the loss of ~257 Marines. Lessons learned?

Here’s the worst view of the situation. Barry made a deal with Putin to do this so he didn’t have to. He thinks he is going to win the election in November and promised Putin something big.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Moscow and Damascus have had close ties for generations. Putin is not about to stand by and let his country’s closest ally in the region be overthrown and possibly fall into the western sphere of influence as a result.

“He is a diplomatic septic tank.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Nay, nay, can’t be, when he was elected all the geniuses who supported him assured me that he was going to patch up all the diplomatic alliances that had been ruined by George W. Bush, the bumbling fool. Are you trying to tell me they were wrong?

I’’m old enough to see the parallels to Carter and Afghanistan. Will we boycott the Olympics in Moscow?
