Duh, because he’s the only one out of office for three and a half years.

Give it time. His statesmanship only serves to help his image (witness the portrait unveiling last week).

If Carter can rebound, anyone can.

two-thirds of Americans have a positive view of Bush's predecessor, former President Bill Clinton. If anyone ever had any doubt about whether the 'Rat party has a stranglehold on the news, music, movie and television industries, here's irrefutable evidence that it does.

Yet CNN still can't bring themselves to report on the current president's low approvals, who by the way is running for re-election.

The media are a parody of themselves.

Well who cares? Former Speaker Pelosi says she “loved” the guy, just not his policies....it was funny to watch her praise President Bush.

Memo to CNN, George Bush is not on the ballot this November. Obama will not be running against George Bush...

10% minimum marxist bias of any cnn poll means Bush is at least at 53% approval.

My God!! Did CNN take a poll of what people thought of Carter in June of ‘84??

Completly worthless information. And they pay people to do this. I don’t have all that high an opinion of Bush myself, and I’m a republican. But I’m not interested, and do not spend a moment thinking about somebody that’s out of power. Those that ARE in power take up enough of my time!

All this proves is that state-controlled media never stops propagandizing.

Conservatives disdain Bush as much as the Liberals do. That’s the problem. He was a good man, but his policies weren’t the best. He tried to triangulate too much, in an effort to try to please everybody, and when you do that, you wind up pleasing nobody.

With modern Presidents like Carter I’d like to see the results where they only poll people who might have actually followed the news WHILE he was in office; say, those 16 or older during any time in his Presidency.

They just can’t help themselves!
The mainstream media fomented hatred for President Bush while he was in office, and it continues to this day.
1/2 of the things people believe about him are not even true.

After all the Bush bashing for the past 4 years from the media and Obama administration, I’m not surprised at this news. The truth never changes, but lies are all over the place. Bush will be vindicated, and ways Carter only dreamed of.

When asked in the survey whether they are better or worse off than they were four years ago, Americans are split, 44% to 43%. But when asked whether they are better or worse off than they were four years ago "when Bush was president," a small gap opens - 47% say they are better off compared to 41% who say they are worse off.

Pure media brainwashing. Fist, when 'Bush' is entered into the question an immediate knee-jerk shift occurs among a few percentage of those polled. This is why Obama continues to blame his predecessor in hopes of fooling these dolts.

Secondly, in terms of the the first polling result, there is hardly a person in America better off now than 4 years ago right now. Probably a few hundred people out of 300 million. Every single measurement shows we are worse off. Our income is down, our cost of living is up, joblessness is much higher, underemployment is much higher, the stock market is lower, our houses are worth much less. There are hundreds of thousands of fewer millionaires, massie increases in food stamps and government assistance in the middle to lower economic ranges, and virtually everyone in between is at best holding on to where they were. Only those few people who founded Facebook or hit a windfall are doing better and moving up the ladder instead of down it. It is sad we have such a gullible population that more than the 20% hard core marxists would answer that things are better. It is a real tragedy.

Yes, I’m glad he’s gone too. But this complete maroon now is the worst ever. I wonder if CNN will report on his ratings after he’s out next year.
