Secretary of State Hilary Clinton presented on Thursday the State Department's 2011 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices that criticizes Israel for its treatment of African migrants, an issue vigorously debated in Israeli public discourse lately.
The report states that Sudanese and Eritrean asylum seekers, which are about 85 percent of African migrants in Israel "were not allowed access to asylum procedures but were given renewable 'conditional release' documents that deferred deportation and had to be renewed every few months."
The report quotes statistics provided by the UNHCR, showing that during the year out of 4,603 new asylum applications 3,692 were rejected. Only one was approved. 6,412 cases remained pending at year’s end.
The report also critically mentioned that the Israeli government officials "often negatively referred to asylum seekers as 'infiltrators' and periodically characterized asylum seekers as directly associated with rises in crime, disease, and terrorism." The report specifically mentions December 2011 interview of the Minister of Interior Eli Yishai with the IDF radio, in which he promised to "ensure that the last of the Sudanese, and the Eritreans, and all of the infiltrators, to the last of them, will return to their countries.”

The African migrants are risking life and limb to get to Israel, walking most of the way there, because it’s the safest place for them to be and they know it. They know they will be killed anywhere they go in Africa or Asia. Israel is their sanctuary and they are fed, clothed and treated well. Migrants? Israel’s done the heavy lifting for their citizens... The so-called ‘migrants’ need go back to their home countries and do their own heavy lifting. Beautiful countries don’t just happen - it takes work.
Although it might not be the best video to offer as evidence of the Saudis mis-treatment of women Hillary might want to weigh in on that subject next.

The point I’m making is that Israel does not mistreat them when they are there (the accusations are false), even if the Israeli government decides they all can’t stay there permanently.
It doesn't matter if they 'risk life and limb' ... that's not a valid criteria for squatting on someone else's land...
Most third world citizens would happily risk all to get out of the hellholes their ideas have created. If folks in Africa want to live in better circumstances, they they need to improve their own countries - not walk to a place where others have sacrificed and worked to make something beautiful...
Of course it's safer in Israel - adults run the country in a democratic fashion. That's safer than petty dictators running countries based on whim, pity, and foreign guilt donations. Cultures tend to get the governments they deserve... if African's want better countries, they need to create better countries.

My point is to show that Israel does not mistreat anyone and the world, including Africans know it. Her enemies regularly make up stories claiming Israel has done this or that; it’s never true, but that’s how the Marxists operate. Their tool of choice is lies, lies and more lies. I was not discussing the rectitude of their coming or their right to live in Israel.
