She’s married to a 71 year old and dating 17 year olds. Talk about playing the field.

Did they make waffle pattern tread marks on her a$$ as she was kicked out the door?

She took the student to the prom to motivate him “to improve his English grades”. Ummmm.... is that some sort of code or what? Is that what they are calling it these days?!!

I don’t think this is THAT kind of story. When did Prom turn into anything more than a school dance?

Just saw this on TV. Appears to have been completely innocent, with full consent of her husband and the boy’s parents. A deputy assigned to investigate found nothing improper, just bad judgment.

Brain dead school board.

She did a nice thing, supported by her husband and the boys parents, and they fire her. She might even have boosted the boys confidence around girls, and in a way that does not appear on a police blotter.

Mary Kay LeTourneau this is not...

"The daughter-in-law of Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, who has served as a volunteer high school track and field coach in Oregon, was fired"

Cool. She wasn't being paid. Now the school can pay someone to do a worse job! Unions win, taxpayers lose! The Obamanation is back in harmony.

“In the meantime, Jon Bowerman has said he will consider resigning from the program if his wife is not allowed to return, a stunning turn of events just weeks after the school officially inaugurated a brand new, state of the art track that was made possible by a trade of the family heirloom Bowerman waffle iron that Jon’s father, former Oregon track coach and Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, used to make running shoe soles for Nike that provided better traction.”

Geez...

She looks a little like Gingrich’s wife before all the surgery.

first all schools and “proms” should be separated, they should not be associated with each other.

I am sure the track coach is proud to see his daughter is an escort.

lol

First things first.

She is definitely not guilty. A very good looking woman without looking like she’s for sale on the corner or trying out for a Maxim cover.

The track team is for a school that has 78 students. 39 students are on the track team and they apparently are a state powerhouse.

This is what happens when the track coach is more powerful than the superintendent.

Can’t blame her.
17 goes into 41 more than 73 does.

Maybe the school decided that they didn't like her very much. Just speculating here but it's possible that she, as a woman of 41 married to a 71 year-old wealthy man, is a crazy-eyed gold-digging wh*re. Maybe she acted inappropriately and since they were already tired of her crap they got rid of her.

Maybe they were jealous of her money.

Maybe they're a bunch of good little administrative robots following their zero tolerance policy.

Or maybe they're a bunch of idiots.

Some combination of the above.

Above board it may have been.

Well intentioned, etc.

It wasn’t WISE.

Just because she thought and her husband thought etc. etc. doesn’t make her choice appropriate.

Like it or not, actions by someone occupying this role are subject to scrutiny by school authorities and the community.

These days the teacher-student thing is totally out of control, adding to the “appearance” problem.
