Stealth 'gun control' threatens Illinois
St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 22 May, 2012 | Kurt Hofmann

Posted on 05/23/2012 4:42:38 AM PDT by marktwain

Illinois gun owners now face a brand new attack on their Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms. With gun rights advocates in Illinois having started in the last few years to find their voices and realize their power, the legislature's forcible citizen disarmament advocates are resorting to furtiveness in their efforts to impose new infringements on that which shall not be infringed.

From an Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) alert:

BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the Illinois State Police are teaming up to pass legislation to destroy your right to privacy and your gun rights in exchange for federal grant money.

HOW THEY PLAN TO DO IT: Representative Cynthia Soto – an ardent Chicago Gun Grabber – recently used parliamentary procedure to hijack an anti-drug bill (SB1034) and turn it into one of the most dangerous anti-gun bills ever put before the Illinois General Assembly. It has been determined that Rep. Soto is just a minor player in this effort and that ERIC HOLDER and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) are behind this assault on your rights. The DOJ has promised the Illinois State Police that they will get millions of dollars in federal grants if this legislation is passed. Holder feels that, if he waves a few dollars under the noses of the Illinois State Police, then they’ll sell legal gun owners down the river.

The alert also explains just what passage of this bill would mean for gun ownership in the stae of Illinois.

Why would they do that? Are the Staties going after bad guys instead of WASP Repubicans?

“...The DOJ has promised the Illinois State Police ...”

Illinois citizens need to remember this when the ISP phone calls asking for donations to the LEO Widows and Children’s fundraiser come in.

Remember who they teamed up with to sell you all down the river.

“To Protect and Serve....” Uh huh.

I read all 93 Pages of the STOO-PID thing and it's no wonder our justice legal system is so screwed up.
Strike this. Replace that. Insert this. Blah, blah, blah. BULL! Sheesh, just repeal the applicable code/law or section in its entirety and write a dam new one. Keep - It - Simple - STUPID! (/rant)
Anyhoo, what I get - besides the new laws on 'Bath Salts Drugs' - is they want a standard reporting system for all IL courts for those defendants who are adjudicated as; 'Cuckoo in the head' (medical term) by a judge. Right now IL does not do this.

I recently read that out of our 101 Counties in IL only three courts report to the ISP when someone is found to be; 'batsh*t crazy' (legal term) by the court. This law is to correct that, plus the drug thingy. [Women and Minorities to be hardest hit!]

So much to my dismay I do not see Eric Holder's slimy hands in this 'new law'.

They’ll take all of it. And the country as a whole will take all of it and more at the federal level.

There is no way I could ever explain what it’s like living here my friend.

We want out of here so badly it’s not funny. Because when The Crash finally comes northeastern Illinois is going to be jut about as close to Hell on Earth as you can get.

In a routine audit of the FOID system by the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services, it was determined that the Illinois State Police was lacking in their reporting of people convicted of domestic violence misdemeanors and prohibiting them from buying/possessing firearms.

It's amazing to me that the FBI actually had enough manpower to conduct an audit, what with most of their boys being tied up playing step-n-fetchit for Jon Corzine.

You know, washing & waxing his car, fixing his traffic tickets, fetching his Margaritas, chauffeuring hot Columbian "escorts" and various other whatnot...

So..we all get on the phone to our state reps and senators and complain big time to these people. And then we pass this info and link on to everyone we know, and encourage them to call their state reps and senators and tell them NO to this latest attack.

We need to act NOW and we need to pass it on.

Go the post #3 and read this link...it works.

Call your state reps, your senators and tell them NO to this bill, and then pass it one to everyone you know....the demo-socialists in Illinois are after our right to own guns...let’s stop them in their tracks.

The link isn’t clear, in my opinion.

The FBI is already threatening to shut down system access.

What does SB 1034 do to make that worse?

Can someone please explain what’s going on here, in plain English, in plain text, posted in this thread, without links.

Thanks.
