In that case, I should live to a ripe old age.

Nasty beverage. I almost never drink the stuff. If I die young because of that, no regrets.

So if I drink coffee EVERY DAY with my 16 oz steak, mashed potatoes and 1/2 loaf of Italian bread, I'll live to a ripe old age??

And if I drink coffee with my two eggs and buttered toast and pancakes with syrup, I'll live to a ripe old age.

The study is STUPID.

They have to stop paying for these studies....a few years ago, in a study, it was said that starting with a cup and a half that it would jack with your cholesterol.....I doubt I believe the prior study nor this.

I just do what I want and do it in Faith and be thankful.

60 in August with no med’s to my name...other than what they require to have on hand to work in Afghanistan.

Butter was bad, butter is good...eggs were bad, eggs are good......I’m sticking with the land of milk and honey.

I drink 6 to 8 cups of coffee a day......I’m going to live to 100 if I don’t die from lack of sleep first....

I get REAL grumpy if I don’t get my Java fix....

The Doc put my office mate on a caffeine free existence a couple of weeks ago. Poor guy has to watch me guzzle joe all day.

I hope this is true. I have drank enough coffee in my life time to float a battleship.

Maybe that was the secret of how, in the Book of Genesis, so many of the patriarchs lived hundreds and hundreds of years. They drank lots of coffee!

If that’s the case, I’ll be joining the other heavily caffeinated FReepers here in a special thread to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Obama’s defeat in 2112. And of course some joker will post the latest photo of Helen Thomas in it.

My dear old Mother was a coffee addict, so was Daddy but I think Mother was worse. They kept a pot of coffee on all the time.

I remember we were driving through Louisiana and we skipped breakfast. Mother suggested we stop and have some coffee. We did and Mother said it was the best cup of coffee she had ever had. What it was is she missed it so much that when she finally got a cup it tasted great to her.

"There's some data showing that some of these components may prevent insulin resistance and have a role in diabetes,"

I wonder of that is still the case with my typical sugary/creamy/definatelty not decaf coffee ...

Coffee beans dipped in dark chocolate are a favorite treat of mine. I would assume that these count beneficially too...maybe doubly so, dark chocolate is also loaded with antioxidants.

I probably enjoy 6 to 8 cups of coffee during the course of a normal day. I have know for some time that coffee has health benefits. Coffee is the largest single source for antioxidants among the American adult population.
