Dream Act students sue to stop Senate filibuster (illegals sue0

Illegal immigrant students and members of the House sued the Senate this week to try to overturn the upper chamber’s filibuster rule, arguing that the 60-vote supermajority requirement violates the Constitution and is blocking important legislation such as legalization for illegal immigrants.

If successful, the lawsuit, filed Monday, would rewrite the way the Senate operates — though courts generally have been reluctant to meddle in internal congressional rules.

What grants them the right to that standing? The constitution grants citizens the right, but WHAT exactly grants illegals the right to sue ANYONE in US court?

What you just said sounds very nice, but it seems like an assumption to me.

“...And we have seen a minority able to cripple dreams.”

Should be:
“...And we have seen a minority able to cripple illegal alien criminal’s dreams.”

Fixed it for you. My bill will be in the mail.

Isn’t Obamaland great?

Now go pay your taxes: the illegals need the money to sue. :)

So... We need to pay for an illegals education, but not only are they illegal being here, employers aren’t suppose to hire them because that is illegal; yet we’ll give them student loans and in state tuition breaks. That’s insane! And I had considered going to Florida or Florida State but my parents wouldn’t/couldn’t pay out of state tuition so I froze in upstate NY. You can’t be from out of state but you can be from out of country for in state tuition in some states.

This case should be thrown out for lack of standing on the part of the illegal aliens and separation of powers ground for the Congresscritters.

The case will be thrown out because the Senate is authorized by the Constitution to write and keep its own rules.

This is an idiot lawsuit asking the Courts to overturn the US Constitution.

Article 1 Section 5:
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behavior, and, with the Concurrence of two-thirds, expel a Member.

The filibuster is a Senate Rule authorized by the US Constitution. This case will go nowhere fast.

Illegals sue in US courts all the time. Day in, day out, day in, day out, day in, day out, in every state, in every Federal district court. And not because nobody’s every figured out that there’s a magic law to bounce them out of court.

The filibuster is exactly that — it’s a rule that’s crippled our system of government. Undocumented youth, perhaps like no other group, understands about the legislative process,” said Caesar Vargas, an illegal immigrant who went through college and law school and could benefit from the Dream Act legalization bill. “We have lived it; we have shed tears for it. And we have seen a minority able to cripple dreams.”

immigrant Cesar Vargas, 28, who graduated from law school at the City University of New York and passed the state Bar exam in November of 2011, awaits word on whether he will be able to practice law, according to Mercury News

Cesar Vargas, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who has passed the bar exam and is in the process of applying for his law license in New York, has started a group, the Dream Bar Association, to advocate for people in his position. Membership numbers about two dozen, and includes those interested in going to law school to those who have passed the bar.

“We’re basically throwing the judicial branch into the immigration debate … through our cases,” he said.

There are “magic laws” to bounce a lot of the crap we see. But they just get ignored. The 10th amendment is one such magic law.

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Very magic law. So they just ignore it.

It’s articles like this---about blood-thirsty La Raza's violent hate-mongering---that make me realize only an all-out conflict in this country is what it will take to finally re-orient it.

Throughout history, invading hordes harbored dreams of glory----that they would conqueur a people, takeover and subdue them-----and carry home the spoils of war to their homelands.

Keep in mind---that aint never gonna happen here---the American culture and spirit is strong and unconquerable.

These cockamamie invaders will NEVER get their way.

The stupids have tried everything else. Now this action-----suing the Senate-----is indicative of their utter stupidity.

The invaders are too dumb to circum-navigate the sophisticated American democracy. They should get out while the getting is good.

Invincible America was built to last---the founders (of European origins) had keen insight. They were knowledgeable about the vainglorious dreams of alien invaders.

Here is some citizens action to counteract the illegal aliens’ efforts. Here is an online petition from the Georgia based Dustin Inman Society. This petition calls for the ending of an illegal alien IRS scam in which illegals can claim child dependents from their home countries or even children that they do not have. Another corrupt give-away to illegals.

Please go on to this website and sign the petition especially if you are from Georgia.

This makes perfect sense : Illegals suing the Senate for not passing amnesty for them.

Unreal.

Ya just can’t make this sh*t up.....

Oh...and I missed the part where “our” side told them to sit the hell down and shut the hell up, because as illegal criminal trespassers, they have no rights under the US Constitution to sue for ANYTHING. I’m sure that was in there somewhere...../sarc

Better yet is after they jump the border and get in a fight here (after drinking) and show up in an emergency room for free service due to a congressional legal mandate. After the hospital eats the costs (we pay for) the illegal gets a lawyer and sues the hospital for malpractice. Good thing Obama-care fixes this by mandating that we (legals) buy his insurance package.

Then he goes to a Spanish speaking tax preparer to file for his child tax credit based on his kids still in Mexico.

Different thing here.

Suing the Senate to force a rule change in violation of the US Constitution by claiming the rule is unconstitutional will go nowhere fast.

The Bar on the other hand, also makes its own rules but they aren't backed by anything but state statute and since the Court also hears Bar cases....

“...and show up in an emergency room for free service due to a congressional legal mandate...”

Would be nice if we had some ER doctors who considered themselves American first and just sort of...ignored them...when they showed up and demanded free treatment.

You know...sort of, like, acting like a PEOPLE once again by fighting back in whatever small capacity they can...

But, then again, I forgot...we don’t live in that same country anymore. Silly me.

And oh - by the way...that “free treatment”...a month after Obamacare passed, my ER visit co-pay went from 30 dollars to 200 dollars, and they hounded me for it relentlessly when I was late with it.

I should have just said “No Habla Engrish!!!” when the hospital asked for my insurance...
