It has become clear for some time that there is no limit to which a leftist will go in there attempt to control mankind from the cradle to the grave. Even the fear of voter backlash in an election year does not seem to slow them down any longer. Why else would Obama come out of the closet in full support of same sex marriage, at the same time that California Democrats are attempting to criminalize a parent's influence upon their child's sexual orientation. Passing through the California Senate Judiciary committee by a vote of 3-1, SB 1172 is on its way to the full Senate for consideration. If passed into law, it won't be long before therapists, psychologists, counselors and parents could be convicted of crimes against the state if they ever attempt to change a child's sexual orientation. Sponsored by State Senator Ted W. Lieu (D) Senate Bill 1172 (pdf file) discourages "sexual orientation change efforts" of adults and essentially makes it illegal to change the sexual orientation of minors.
The legislation would require all adults to sign a consent form before they undergo any therapy that would attempt to change their sexual orientation from gay to straight, or even straight to gay. As for the children, SB 1172 would abolish all parental control that influences whether they will grow up to be gay or heterosexual. Furthermore, parents who violate this law could lose custody of their children to the state.
You can bet that if this gets signed into law, there will be lawsuits all the way to the Supreme Court. Especially when you consider that this bill would give the state the right to step into doctors' examination rooms, or psychiatrists' offices and gag

I may have missed your comment number 36 to “The Old Lady” but I stand by my comment that your comment “Never has the choice been so clear” is a false statement. When to similar candidates are running against each other the choice isn’t as clear as it would be if two candidates who actually held different positions were running.
We have fair housing laws which prohibit discrimination. Yet I can bet money not one “homo-centered” appartment complex has been prosecuted for discriminatin in their advertising.

What you missed was the urgency I meant to convey about the need to get conservatives elected down ticket and into congress, so that we can force the inevitable winner, who will be Romney, to the right.
Mark my word, Romney will win, and he will win big, not as big as a real conservative would, but consider Nixon vs George McGovern, and Humphrey. Like Bush, Nixon beat a couple of known big government leftists. He only beat Humphrey by 500,000 votes in 68, but he won huge electorally. Against McGovern he won huge though, he received 61% percent of the popular vote and lost only Massachusetts and the District of Columbia in the 1972. After all the dust settled we now know Nixon was a much a Rhino, if not more so than Romney is.
Despite the fact that Nixon ran on a platform that was anti-big government, he supported programs that increased federal control over all our lives that would make FDR and Johnson both jealous. Just think of EPA, OSHA and remember Nixon also took us off the gold standard. Imagine how great our economic recovery under Reagan would have been if we had stayed on the gold standard. Well add these things to Johnson’s great society and our economy tanked. When Carter got elected and just made things worse. If it were not for Reagan defeating Carter, we would have been where we are today back in the “80”s.
As I said, I cannot vote for Romney for reasons I have stated time and time again here and other places. However, Romney is no Obama, but he is also no Reagan. He will be more like Nixon, and the two Bush’s who gave Democrats almost everything they wanted. That being said, we need conservatives in congress to force him to the right, or he will be like Nixon, Bush, and Bush who all moved left when the Democrat controlled Congress forced them.
So when I say the choice has never been clearer, I speak of Congress. Time to work as hard as we all can to get conservatives elected over Rhinos in the primaries, and then fire up the base to get a super majority congress to force Romney as far right as we can.
Does that correct any misconceptions about what it was I meant. Now I understand that would be a lot to read into what I originally wrote, but I often times forget that many around here already know where I stand and what I meant.

Yes, you are right. Like all wild rabid animals that refuse to quit fighting, the leftists will only get worse as they continue to lose at the polls where the voters actually have a say so.
I am often times have the image of Satan kicking and screaming like Golum as he realized his end was near, but he still dove into the pit of fire to grab the ring. Satan will do all he can to take as many with him as he can, and because he knows his time is near he will get even worse in his defiance against God.

I’m eligible to retire as of 3/7/2012 but have to continue working unless my wife agrees to move.
Any conservative that has ever said. What homosexuals do, does not bother me. Has help bring this to CA. So much for the ole chant. What they do behind closed doors bs.
the next legislative move in Sacramento will be to make flight itself illegal, unless all children of the parents in question have been interviewed by concerned CPS and gay rights advocates, who will painstakingly probe them, and probe them, and probe them (but only out of their oh so sincere concern for the child’s psychological welfare), looking for any hint of latent tendencies. When that doesn’t work, down comes the iron curtain.

I remember taking a speech class while in college. It was 1977, and the class curriculum stated we had to give, 2, 5, and 10 minute speeches in front of the class. For my 10 minute speech I spoke about my reason the "Equal Rights Amendment" should never be passed into law.
Among other things, I mentioned that if passed it would make it legal for homosexual to get married and even adopt children. I pointed out that all public restrooms would become gender free, and that our schools would even become havens for open sexuality as homosexuals would use the classrooms to recruit children into the homosexual lifestyles.
It was actually received quite well, and I received a B minus. I was docked because I spoke to fast and finished under 9 minutes and it was supposed to be within 10 seconds of 10 minute speech. many came up to afterwards and agreed with me. I went to College in Alabama, so maybe that is why it was so well received.
Well, it failed to pass, but sadly we are facing those situations because of activist commie and politicians.
