Posted on 05/06/2012 7:11:03 AM PDT by Zakeet
The awful truth is dawning on many Democrats, possibly including Elizabeth Warren herself: her candidacy for "Teddy Kennedy's seat" has turned into a nightmare, raising all sorts of uncomfortable issues for public scrutiny. Even worse, Alinsky's favorite tool, ridicule, is being deployed to make points that inflict lasting damage on sacred cows of the left like affirmative action and the transcendent wisdom of Harvard Law School progressives.
It is starting to damage the Democratic brand.
You would have to search hard to find anyone who better embodies the liberals' you're-too-stupid-to-make-your-own-decisions mentality than Elizabeth Warren. She was the brains behind the frighteningly powerful and unaccountable Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which soon will be arrogating to itself pretty much any power it wants to push around financial institutions, and which doesn't need to get Congress to approve its appropriations, so is immune from constituent anger over its policies. She never got to head her brainchild, so instead decided to take what was rightfully hers: the Democratic nomination for Senate in Massachusetts, temporarily hijacked by a pickup-driving fellow of no particular academic accomplishment.
But now that her use of a claimed identity as Native American has blown up in her face, the long simmering issue of affirmative action, which is wildly unpopular among the actual voters, yet still embraced as gospel by the politically important (to the Democrats) race grievance industry. Warren's attempts to deny that she sought or received favoritism for her claimed drop of Indian blood are completely implausible, thus offering a legitimate target for ridicule.
It gets worse.

This is all because of the college bennies for being a member of a ‘good’ minority. It encourages students to fib on their FASFA app because they know it boosts their chance of getting accepted and getting more financial aid.
Colleges obsess about the level of diversity of their students. The feds demand a quarterly breakdown of the ethnicity of each starting class for their IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System).
IPEDS is public info, and is used by US News to rank colleges (more diversity = higher rating).
The whole system is biased in favor of a student reporting themselves as a ‘minority’. The college benefits, the student benefits, everybody wins.
She’s actually a descendent of the lost Indian Tribe the Fekawis. They were called lost because they always say “Where the Fekawis?
Did you see the quote from Mark Steyn in the article? ... Elizabeth Fauxcahontas Crockagawea Warren. That’s good.
The sad thing is that this fake of a woman was recently inducted in the Oklahoma Hall of Fame with Tommy Franks.
What the hell were they thinking?
They had a feature on her in Norman Magazine. Her brother David Herring was interviewed. He seemed to support her career and views sadly. Another thing to note, all three of her brothers were in the service. The youngest brother, John, was a combat pilot who flew in Vietnam.
You can read it here:
I wonder if Ward Churchill and Elizabeth Warren had a child if it would look like Barack Obama.
I also like the line about Harvard Lore School.
How does she know she's a Cherokee maiden? Well, she cites her grandfather's "high cheekbones," and says the Indian stuff is part of her family "lore." Which was evidently good enough for Harvard Lore School...
“Hoax-a-Hontis”, LOL! Thanks Zakeet.
Chief sitting Marx.
Why wasn’t she in the service?
Come on. Could you imagine this “indian squaw” taking orders from a white man in a position of authority? Why it would be so beneath her don’t you know for a woman of her stature.
