Romney's Practical Vision vs. Obama's Left-Wing Extremism
Forbes ^ | may 3, 2012 | Peter Ferrara,

Posted on 05/05/2012 9:42:12 PM PDT by Innovative

In his weekly radio address on April 14, President Obama displayed his lifelong commitment to an ideological extremism of pure theory unhinged from reality. That failure of leadership is why America is in a scary downward slide that will not stop until fundamental change is made at the top.

The bottom line is that raising tax rates on investment income to finance increased government spending could not be a more confused, upside down policy to promote economic growth. It reflects only Obama's extreme, neo-Marxist ideology, which is fundamentally offended by investment income flowing to "the rich."

In sharp contrast, presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney in his remarks April 24 in New Hampshire displayed a keen fundamental grasp of how America's capitalist economy works, saying, "I have a very different vision of America, and of our future. It is an America driven by freedom, where free people, pursuing happiness in their own unique ways, create free enterprises that employ more and more Americans. Because there are so many enterprises that are succeeding, the competition for hard-working, educated and skilled employees is intense, and so wages and salaries rise."

So they’re saying Milt knows more about business and economics than Barry? You could say that about almost anyone. The kid running your local Subway sandwich shop or the older lady down at the laundromat know more than Barack Obama. That’s not exactly setting the bar real high.

You know this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan.

This is a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical, leftist president in American history.”.  Newt Gingrich

If you think you pure : did you pay taxes in a state that funds planned parenthood?

Yes, as a matter of fact my state does, much like Mitt Romney decided to do with his own funds with no one compelling him to do so.

If you have been paying attention to politics for the past 50 years, Obama doesn’t seem any more extreme than Eisenhower or perhaps even Nixon.

Both are completely out of touch and the suffering will continue no matter which is elected.

Obama is either an idiot or pure evil (and the two are mutually exclusive since an evil idiot would for all intents and purposes be primarily an idiot).

I suggest that Obama, as stupid as he seems, is not an idiot.

Mitt Romney is indeed a "Myth" ...

"Genuine" political conservatives (even Rush Limbaugh) are nauseated (some more frequently than others) by Myth's chameleon-like approach to politics ...

Myth is "anything" he needs to be in while in front of audience A, B, or C.

There's another aspect to Myth Romney, however.

His "legendary" business acumen ...

As a Product Design Engineer, I've worked in companies where Executive Managers had to navigate a complex series of decisions ... through the ups and downs of business cycles, (good and bad) new product releases ... et al.

Their jobs are frankly, quite a challenge.

What did Myth Romney routinely do (as a business guy) to amass his $ 150 million personal fortune ?

New Product invention or innovation ?

Nope.

Discovering and bringing into production new oil fields or factories ?

Nope.

No ... Myth specialized in "firing people" (his self-admitted favorite activity) ... looting and canabalizing companes ...

Even Forbes magazine knows this ...

A Myth Romney presidency would be much like Jimmy Carter's ...

Began with a fresh new hope ... and then increasing plunged in to despair (economically, foriegn-policy wise, militarily) by a president whose ONLY love is himself and money, and his Anti-Christ Mormon religion ...

America may in fact be finished as a Republic ...

You know this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan.

Mitt Romney is, without a doubt, the most disingenuous candidate in my lifetime. I can not recall any candidate for any office who has switched positions on critical issues more then Mitt Romney. His record is there for all to see. From abortion and gun control to health reform and entitlement programs, Mitt Romney has supported and voted for programs and policies that are very liberal.

What I believe in is limited government and individual liberty. I do not believe Obama or Romney shares my views. Both will support policies and programs that further the deterioration of our nation. Both will appoint Justices that push the court to the left. Only Romney damages the Conservative movement.

I simply don't understand how anyone who believes in Conservatives principles and values can support this man.

Then, given that Obama is Carter³, the choice is clear.

Elect the most conservative Congress possible and keep the pressure on the WH - sans Obama.

Well, consider the alternative:

Very informative article.

If were talking about romney's last "government job" this article would focusing on his left wing extremism.

Screw that guy. Conservatives need to have their own convention.

Obama doesn’t seem any more extreme than Eisenhower or perhaps even Nixon.

You must be kidding.... I lived through both the Eisenhower and Nixon presidencies.

Eisenhower was a pro-American soldier-hero who saw the goodness and greatness of America. He saw America as the savior of continents and countries from the boots of the Nazi Left and the emperor of Japan. He saw an America that fed the hungry of the world including Germany. He saw the best education system in the world here in America. He saw the massive industry and industriousness of the American people.

The decline you see in America today is largly the result of leftist progressive liberal democrat ideas paid for with borrowed money. Eisenhower hated that borrowing.

Nixon was the oppposite of Obama too. Nixon hated communists who infiltrated and undermined America (as Obama has done) through lies and deceit. Nixon wanted Reds and commies rooted out of the US and jailed.

After seeing Obama and the czars, I know Nixon was correct. Obama is anti-American. He is here to fuinish us off if we let him.

“Obama is anti-American. He is here to finish us off if we let him.”

You are absolutely right. And the tragedy is that he may get reelected with the help of the conservatives who stay home, or vote third party.

Would Eisenhower or Nixon would have set aside a month to celebrate gays, lesbians, and transsexuals?

Yeah. Like Romneycare.

How many different ways are there to say 'no sale'?
