The Cardinal Newman Society has posted a petition to protest this outrage here: GeorgetownScandal.com.  It has also alerted Washington Cardinal Donald Wuerl and sent a letter to Georgetown President John DeGioia urging him to immediately withdraw the invitation.

And the sucking sound you hear is another so-called “Catholic” so-called “university” swirling down the toilet.

Wasn’t this the same place Sandra Fluke was badmouthing?

Gluttons for punishment or sumfin? I know some Catholics are big on suffering but this is ridiculous!!!

What an outrage! My father got his Ph.D from Georgetown in 1963. Things were much different there then. He must be spinning in his grave!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

She’s one of the Satanists, reincarnated from a murdering Bolshevik. It makes me physically nauseous to read this story.

“Georgetown needs to lose its Catholic certification immediately.”

Absolutely!

I will sign the petition.

Georgetown is neither Catholic nor in any other way Christian. Georgetown should just as well declare itself Episcopalian and invite Vicki Jean Robinson. Ichabod! The Glory has departed!

Don't be idiots. Georgetown is no more a Catholic University than charnel house/abortion mill Notre Dame. Neither abortuary has any official connection to the Roman Catholic Church.

Georgetown is all but begging for a release from the Church.

This will do it. It is waaay past time to cut them loose.

A dis-invite is simply not enough. It is too late.

This is rich.

I guess Sandra F(l)u(c/k)(e)’s little crusade (snicker) worked.

You have to truly question which has the higher ethical standing: a secular institution with no religious affiliation or a school with religious credentials that outwardly compromises its ethical beliefs by honoring a person who thwarts everything the Church stands for. If those who attend Georgetown have any values in accordance with the schools principles, they will turn their backs when Sibilius is introduced to speak, and keep their backs to her until she concludes her speech.

The Jesuit order has devolved into an unspeakable lot. Very trying times for the Church. Georgetown is the nation’s premier Jesuit university. The Jesuits are sworn to defend the Pope specifically and the Church. They care to do neither. The Church is now faced with a very difficult problem. First the covering of Catholic symbols to accommodate Obama, the use of its law school to challenge doctrine and now the invitation of an excommunicated Catholic to further confuse the faithful. Can the Church tolerate such heretic behavior? It may be necessary to disband the Jesuit order and allow individual priests to make their own decisions. Georgetown and the Jesuits are doing grave harm to the Church at a very difficult time.

The Bishops and Pope say one thing, but consistently do the opposite thing.

They claim they are against the government telling them what to do in health care but advocate for socialized medicine in the name of social justice. The culture that goes with the economic system of “social justice” is state enforced amoral and unethical atheism.

They claim they are, morally and ethically, Catholics but bring in an anti-human life and anti-Catholic, anti-religious freedom atheist to a Catholic University for a key speech of influence on the graduates.

I think real Catholics are being taken for a ride and they should watch what they do much more and pay attention to what they say much less. Keep close to Jesus and cut your hearts’ ties to this bunch of decievers. I think they are leading Catholics over a spiritual cliff.

Will they be using those “Fluke” reclining desks at the Commencement? It would be most appropriate for Sebelius.

This is why I think that noise about “Catholics standing up to Obama” is BS. If that truly were the case.. THIS wouldn`t happen.
