I’m sure there are Senate and Congressional primaries tommorrow in these states as well.
I’ll be voting for Rick Santorum to send a message that I want the strongest conservative as POTUS.
Hope Newt can pull off an upset in Delaware.
If you live in Pennsylvania, Santorum even though he has dropped out might be still 2nd place.
I'm not voting for Romney, and am in one of the Congressional districts he may not win, but he is expected to take the state pretty easily.
Turn out is expected to be low because in a recent poll most New Yorkers felt Romney was the inevitable candidate. This could help Newt but your core GOP-e will get out and vote, so it could go the other way.
So for those that have called me a Romneybot and want me banned, I am voting for Newt tomorrow. But I will vote for Romney if he is the nominee. If he wins my neck of the woods (county) tomorrow, then there are a hell of a lot of conservative GOP out there that are willing to vote for him. It will be an interesting case study really.
Thanx, and I hope he comes in first.
I hope people understand how powerful their votes will be, as the turn out in the following primaries will be especailly low since Romney is the presumptive nominee.
But we can still send a message, and I hope conservatives will go to the polls, and stand up and be counted.
Romney - ... 2012
Since Newt doesn’t have a chance anyway, I’d still consider Santorum.
Since this is the primaries, at least vote for a CONSERVATIVE candidate now. If we don’t make our voices heard, we will continue to have “moderate” Republicans for years to come.
All of this talk about Delaware is somewhat annoying.
Five states are voting tomorrow including NY and PA.
It doesn’t matter if Newt wins Delaware alone.
If Newt gets his ass handed to him in NY and PA (as expected) then that will be the story tomorrow.
“Oh, and if anyone cares”
I care.
New York’s “Republicans” will vote all 95 delegates in favor of the RINO. Then in the General you will see Obama take New York.
The General is unfortunately a given. No one really cares about NY on this site because of that. I’m not big into telling people exactly where I live, but my little pocket of the world is conservative in this Socialist state. So I’m interested to see what happens right here. Romney may get all 95 delegates. And that’s one reason I’ve said to people that still say Newt is competitive, unfortunately, look at the numbers.
I can understand holding your nose to vote for Romney to stop Obama.
Even though Rick is not in the race, and Newt is, I’m upset with Newt for not dropping out when he saw he wasn’t doing so well, which is why I’ll stick with Rick, and he was my favorite anyway.
imo, Newt gave us Romney, because Newt stayed in, even though he only won two races.
I’m not sure where you are coming from other than New York. I really hate to encourage you to move to “fly over” country. Colorado is almost ruined but Oklahoma is about number one! The thing that sucks is when people want to bring the stuff they were leaving with them and start telling ‘us’ what to do...
We’re out of here in 8 years for various reasons, I’ll look into Oklahoma! Don’t worry, wherever we end up, there’s no liberals in this house!
“Speculation remains high that Gingrich will exit the GOP race this week, especially he rescheduled his trip to North Carolina several times.”
IF this is true, why didn’t Newt pull out of the race before Santorum did, as Santorum would have had a good chance to beat Romney.
"Since Newt doesnt have a chance anyway, Id still consider Santorum."
Santorum does?
If 99% of the electorate voted for Santorum and he is not running, does he get elected against his will ?
Stomp your feet, scream and shout ... but choose Newt or Paul.
The sad thing is that Pennsylvania is about to nominate a liberal Democrat running as a Republican for Senate, and he has been endorsed by the state GOP party machine. About the best thing you can say about him is that he’s smarter than Casey, but that’s not saying a whole lot.
Steve Welch is a Democrat who voted for Obama and supported the reptilian Joe Sestak, and yet he wants people to think he’s a conservative.
Under no circumstances should anyone reading this vote for Welch.
As far as I can tell, the only reasonable conservative choice for the senate is Sam Rohrer.
As for delegates, McCabe, Merritt, Puig, and Przybylski are the ones to support, IMHO.
I almost wish I was registered as a Democrat so I could vote against Patrick Scumbag Murphy who’s running for attorney general.
In my opinion Santorum gave us Romney. Newt’s by far a better choice than Santorum.
Thank you God for the snow. This will keep the liberal Republicans home. Conservatives are going to vote regardless for Newt!!!! Yeah! I still wish Santorum was in so I could vote for him, but voting for Newt is awesome too!!!!!
When Santorum suspended his campaign, that ended any chance that I would vote for him. Newt’s the only one left.
Rohrer may be dull, but he is conservative. And the only one that is consistent with his convictions. I hate the GOP for what they are doing to my country by trotting out liberals or worse each election cycle.
I WILL NEVER vote for romney. Ever. If I have explain myself...
“The thing that sucks is when people want to bring the stuff they were leaving with them and start telling us what to do...”
We upstate NY’ers have the same problem with the NYC people. Upstate NY is far more Conservative than most folks think.
Voting for Newt in a couple of hours.
Funny thing about this election - although we have received dozens of political phone calls, we have gotten only one piece of political mail. It was the Republican endorsed ticket. The way I'm feeling now, it's almost a cheat sheet for whom I shouldn't vote. As far as I can tell, the only endorsed candidate who's got my vote is Joe Rooney (congressional race).
What about Tom Smith? I'm leaning his way because I thought the TEA Party endorsed him. Quite frankly, I want to vote for whichever one will garner more votes against Welch. Is that likely to be Rohrer?
Same thoughts I have in CT. I’d never vote for a proven threat to the US that currently occupies the W.H., but there needs to be someone to unwind the evil that has been inflicted.
I just voted for Ron Paul in NYS.
Why waste your time arguing. Don’t you know Newt is going to ride in on his white horse and save the day? After all, we have to teach those GOP elites a lesson even if it means waking up to a “president” obama every day for the next five years. We can sustain the damage you know.
I understand Tom Smith changed his party from D to R just weeks before announcing his run.

Can’t vote for either Welch or Smith.
Christian would be OK too, but has zero name recognition. Rohrer ran against Corbett in the primary for governor, so his name is somewhat familiar. He’s our best shot, but it’s a long shot at best.
The grandees in Harrisburg have anointed Welch. That sickens me.
This is the first election in probably 16 years I wasn't among the first 10 people to vote -if that gives you an indication of how unenthused I am. Going to wait till dinner time and see if I can get a free piece of pizza from the poll workers!
I am going expressly to vote for two of my Neighbors in Tredyffrin Twp. who are running for Committeee people as very strong conservatives-grass roots baby!
I wouldn’t bank on msnbc, or any media source, publishing the truth about Newt, or any conservative Republican for that matter.
The subject of Newt should and can reasonably be laid aside, in terms of relating it to what Santorum did and when he did it.
Laying that subject aside...
Santorum pulled out of the race because he did not have the funds to compete in his home state of PA against Romney and prevail there.
He was going to have to withdraw, regardless of what Newt did or didn’t do or when Newt did it. That’s why I say, lay that subject aside. The two subjects don’t relate or intertwine the way you believe.
Rick felt he couldn’t stand to lose PA again.
Or stand to run up the debt it would cause his campaign just to try to win it, win or lose. It is one of the most expensive states to run in. It’s size and complexity and the costly advertising. The time required to campaign...everything.
Everyone knew moneybags Romney was poised to spend whatever it took there to win, through the same negative and lying ad blitz he used on Newt in Iowa and in FL, that almost destroyed Newt and which gave Santorum an opening he used.
Rick knew that same weapon was about to be aimed at him with devastating effect, in a state near and dear to him that he had lost before, and that loss was ENOUGH.
There is no use commenting to you about Newt, as an individual.
Because, as the good book says, do not cast your pearls before the swine, lest they turn again, trample you underfoot and rend you.
And that wasn’t talking about literal pearls and literal swine, it was telling the disciples not to preach the good news of the gospel to people who had demonstrated time after time they were hopeless, but rather, go preach it to someone you had a chance to reach.
The only comment I’ll bother with is a technical one.
For any and all who care about the mess that is Mitt Romney being forced on us, Newt knows he isn’t going to win enough going forward to beat Romney in delegates going into the convention.
So, ignore people who keep piping up saying don’t vote for Newt, he can’t win...because neither can Santorum win, and because all Newt is trying to do is deadlock the convention, in order to give conservativism its voice.
That’s a worthy goal at this point.
It’s all we who can’t stand Mitt have left.
Newt works for a deadlocked convention on the first ballot.
To give conservativism its voice.
I’d vote for that.
As opposed to Romney’s coronation there.
There are a lot of local critters to vote for.
And then what happens at the deadlocked convention? The GOP-e nominates another unacceptable RINO like Christie or Jeb?
We were numbers 19 and 20. Looks like nobody's voting here in the first ring Philly burbs.
We're saying our prayers that Newt gets enough votes to screw up the convention for Romney.
It doesn't matter. The RINO establishment cannot keep shoving these losers down our throats. I'm not taking it anymore and I'm not voting Romney in November.
That's fine. I find obama totally unacceptable. He has already damaged our military beyond repair, indicated that he will circumvent congress, made recess appointments while congress was in session, allowed gays to raise the rainbow flag in a war zone - and on and on it goes. Is Romney this dangerous? No way. You all can have your little self-righteous temper tantrums - I choose to vote AGAINST obama and if that means voting for Romney, so be it.
I'm done being a good soldier. If you don't see evil in the RINO establishment, then go ahead and march on for them. They can't count on me anymore. I'm done.
So you are willing to get behind the NOT Obama later but against voting for the NOT Romney now to have a possible open convention?
Do you honestly believe the remaining “Not Romney” candidates have a shot? Newt is going to turn on you all and support Romney in the end. Why bother with the charade? Throw Rick Perry back in the mix and I’d vote for him in a heartbeat.
Gladly Presented Voter ID !
+1
Rohrer for Senate
Marino for House
Make sure Pennsylvania read THIS thread. You have to vote for the right delegates by name, because the presidential pick is just a beauty contest/straw poll and the delegates are not bound.

You can find out what Congressional District you’re in here, just make sure to use the full address, zip code alone won’t always work:

Welch was in 3rd place in a poll last week. Granted the poll was sponsored by Smith’s campaign. The fact that Welch is so far behind, if true, should make it “safe” for people to vote Rohrer and not worry about vote-splitting.

The "Independence Hall Tea Party" endorsed Smith but they also endorsed Romney, and are endorsing his delegates. They can take their tea and flush it as far as I'm concerned.
