A group of Muslim men who abducted and raped two teenage girls as part of their Eid celebrations laughed in court yesterday as they were jailed for a total of 38 years. The girls, aged 15 and 16, were lured miles from their home to a dingy hostel.
In a horrifying weekend-long ordeal, they were plied with alcohol and repeatedly raped by two men, Shamrez Rashid and Amar Hussain, before being offered to a number of others who also ‘used them for sex’.

I am a conservative, with hardline views on crime and prison. You are making the mistake of thinking because such sentences exist, all Britons are happy with them. I and many millions arent. Increasingly so.

Agreed. Again, I and millions of Brits would prefer sentences of double or triple that. And whilst it IS a disgrace, please stop calling it a jihadi disgrace. These men were not jailed for so little because of dhimmtitude, again, I point out that rightly or wrongly, that is the current sentence and has been for some time. If there were no Muslims in the UK, that would still be the average sentence.

Oh rubbish. There are 50000 Muslims in Scotland, which has a population of 5 million. And almost all live in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and towns on the west coast. There are no Muslims in power or major business. And the Scots Muslim community has managed to prevent any extremism catching fire, in fact the only Muslim terrorist from Scotland has been a white convert from Dundee!.

Am I correct in concluding this 'hostel' was something comparable to an open prison for supposed criminal offendors not considred a threat to society?
Assuming this is the case I would hope that this aspect of the rapes is being investigated e.g. measures put in place to prevent such government subsidized criminal activities in the future.
P.S. I was a Navy Submariner in the 80's that visited Scotland many times; primarily I was in Dunoon, but as well visited Glasgow and Edinburgh.
