Take it up with someone else, then. I never recall posting anything virulently anti-Gingrich, and I never crashed a “Gingrich” thread (either strongly in support of him, or happy about something he did, organizing for him, etc. etc.). What would be the point? (Outside of it also violating Freeper protocol and manners). p> I have been either strongly pro-Cain and then pro-Santorum, and always very strongly anti-Romney. You won’t find much else outside of that, though. Good luck with the Speaker, though. Whatever.

“Pattonesque” VISUALLY.. Obviously. The content of his speech was good, but full flag backdrop inferred some comparison to Patton.. Not a good idea but if you separate the content from the corny visual, the speech was at least PRO AMERICAN. There were corny lines, yes, but.. Wake up! We’re not stuck with 0bama forever.. I hope. I’d take Romney’s dog on top of the station wagon over 0bama ANY DAY.

Are you one of those dignified Romper Room, playground bully conservatives who constantly goad and taunt for a fight around here?

Look at my history. I have never been anything of the sort. Because I am neutral and don't froth at the mouth with vile hate for Romney, somehow makes me a Romney supporter according to you.

I don't like Romney and I have never liked Romney, but if he gets the nomination, which it certainly looks like he will, then I will support him. And that does not mean I have to like it but there is little choice left.

If I ever make a report in polls or trends that Romney just so happens to be winning, I am not the one to blame. Like I told you earlier, those of you who insisted on going for Santorum the way you did, would more than likely guarantee a Romney win. Well here it is, enjoy it; You earned it.

I’ll be surprised if Newt is in the race at this point. I would like to know what has Santorum done in the Senate that was considered Conservative??

It doesn't matter. If Rick somehow pulled off the nomination over Romney, great. He's head and shoulders better than Mitt. He's managed his campaign money to stretch Nationally when it wasn't enough to be regional.

Mitt on the other hand thinks it's Monopoly money, throws it around like there's some magic money tree to just grab more from. Wait, that sounds like every other politician in Washington. DUH!

Anyway, if Santorum can just get us to a brokered convention we'll have hope for another candidate. And if we pray hard enough we might just win.

Tell me, how will “Rick” win the nomination with Arkansas?

After tonite, he will have to win over 80% of all the remaining delegates. And since most of them are closed “proportional”, that is now impossible.

And so you support Romney who lost by only 17% points when he ran for the Senate in 1994. By the way, Rick lost in a terrible year for Republicans (2006), when the GOP lost both the House and the Senate, while Romney lost in 1994, when the GOP flipped both houses of Congress. Good job Romney!! By the way, Santorum beat an incumbent Democrat in 1994 while Mitt was running to the left of Ted Kennedy and getting killed. But we need to vote for Romney over "St Rick" because Romney is so much more electable, right?

Your numbers are far off.

Santorum is winning Reagan Democrats in Northern Wisconsin (Obama won most of these counties in 2008). These are heavily white, working class voters. This includes Brown County (Green Bay).

Santorum is also slightly winning Dane County (Madison), largely because he is very strong with younger voters (UW-Madison).

If you think that 4% of voters can flip major metropolitan counties, you are very mistaken.

I don’t trust Romney and I despise Santorum.

Exactly what I did and think.
I have nothing personal against Santorum except his bald faced lie that he is the most conservative. I have examined his voting record in US Senate and all I found was his yes votes on spending and no votes on spending cuts. If he is conservative, I can beat Tiger Woods in a 18 hole match every time.

Don’t think it’s fair to blame Palin supporters. Did her not running hurt Rick Perry from opening up a huge lead over Romney and then insulting the base over immigration and then falling apart worse than that skier in the wide world of sports video during that debate? Did she have anything to do with that?

Anything to do with Cain then opening a lead over Romney and ending up exposed as a possible fraud with who knows how many skeletons in the closet?

Anything to do with Newt then opening up a big lead over Romney and imploding and then reopening a big lead over Romney and falling apart again? She have anything to do with Newt choking in the 2 FL debates when he had the chance to close the deal and finish Romney?

Anything to do with Santorum getting his moment and his big lead over Romney and then talking about all these social issues that no one cares about and saying how JFK made him want to throw up and all this other stuff?

Face it. A bunch of guys all had their chances. They all had their moment in the sun and their leads over Romney and they all wilted. None of that was her fault. She announced in early October. That was plenty of time for her supporters to come to terms and find someone else.

As for your 2nd point about not following the 2010 formula I agree with you. I’d just add that the 2010 formula isn’t as easy when unemployment is at 8.3% and dropping instead of being at 9.8% and climbing. Bit of a difference there. There’ve been 3M+ new jobs since the 2010 election. That makes a difference and makes it harder to run against the eocnomy.

More foolishness. Apparently you're uninformed about Mormonism in general, and about Romney's position in the church and his belief in pseudo-political Mormon prophecies and his imagined role in them.

Also, like a Freeper said earlier, this is the first time that neither Presidential candidate will be a Christian. You SHOULD care about your man's religion if you care whether God blesses this nation.

EVERY candidate has their baggage. Newt has his global warming and heathcare problem and women issues. Romney is completely out of the question though. I would feel like I would be helping an abortionist if I vote for Romney. I will NEVER vote for him.

Santorum became increasingly more conservative as the years went by, and was far more conservative as a Senator representing the entire state than he had been as a Republican Congressman representing the heavily Democratic 18th District. His Lifetime Senate ACU average is 92.1%.

His 12 Senate ACU ratings year-by-year:

‘95-—83%
‘96-—95%
‘97-—84%
‘98-—84%
‘99-—88%
‘00-—100%

Listen, don’t tell ME to wake up. You are allowing yourself to be hoodwinked by that slick, loathsome, lying, liberal SOB, and by doing so, you are helping to drive this country to ruin. Look at his RECORD, not his FLAG! Pay attention to what he’s done-—signing abortion into law, socialized healthcare, pandering to sodomites——instead of his stupid, fake, canned, PATHETIC speeches.

PSYCHO-FREEP says, Look at my history.

OK. During the month of March, out of 23 articles that you posted, 20 were related to the Presidential primary. Of these 20, three were pro-Newt, two were indeterminate in their leanings, and 15 presented Santorum in a negative light. (Your comments were worse than the articles posted.) There were no articles (NONE) that were anti-Romney, even though there were multitudes from which to choose.

Here are a few of the articles posted:

In Wisconsin, Romney links Santorum to 'big labor' (March 29)

Rick Santorum’s nice-guy persona is turning a bit testy lately (March 27)

Santorum on defensive as race turns to Louisiana (March 24)

Santorum’s lost message (March 22)

Rick Santorum quiet on economy (March 20)

Specter: I couldn't have done it without Rick (March 16)

Did Santorum beat Gingrich in Mississippi due to Democrat Prank Voting? Alabama? (March 14)

Santorum: "I'd Like Everybody To Get Out" (March 11)

Voters Back Away From Santorum In Ohio (March 6)

Even those articles that you posted that were simply reporting on polls, always cherry-picked polls in which Romney was doing very well, never in polls in which Santorum was leading or doing well.

That was March. February was even worse. Your modus operandi was to present articles critical of Santorum but not of Romney. Yes, glad (and sad) to look at your history.

Those are not my numbers, they come from the exit polls. There was a high number of Democrats that voted for Santorum and they were Obama Democrats. There is no such thing as a Reagan Democrat anymore. But that really does not matter any longer. The election is over. Romney swept all 3 Winner Take All states for 98 Delegates.

Romney now only needs 42% of the remaining Delegates and since he already has 58% of the delegates to date, that number is realistic. It is what it is. Reality does not choose sides.

It hurt Bachmann. Only because I recall Palin supporters attacking the field before Palin said she wasn’t running. ZMany people aimed their fire at Bachmann when she won the Iowa Straw Poll. I know that then Rick Perry people attacked Bachmann instead of Romney because she posed a threat. She was such a threat that Santorum’s backers (some people who endorsed him) in December wanted her out of the race when she was Polling higher than Santorum. They manged to poison the waters all these people and turned people against Bachmann. SO she had no chance. I went to Santorum eventually because there was nobody else left.

Based on Romney’s win margin in Wisconsin so far, it;s less than 6% which is the percentage that Newt recieved. If we figure that Newt’s voters would have went for Santorum, the split vote has again cost Santorum a key win. I’m beginning to believe that Newt wants Romney over Santorum.

Like I said, you don’t get it. You know ZIP about Mormonism and the Mormon church’s view of Romney’s role in their prophecies. Actually, it did. By delaying so many in the review of the declared candidates, her supporters then had precious little time to assess them once she finally bowed out.

Initially, they didn’t review Perry, so it was just a bunch of uninformed fools playing ‘follow-the-leader’ when he was the frontrunner. When he stumbled, they latched onto the next frontrunner, again... without review. And so on and so forth.

As for Newt, Santorum was pressured to drop out so that the race could gel between two candidates, the Romney... and the not Romney. He refused, for he believed in his supporters. Supporters, I might add, who were looking for a Pope to lead us instead of a President. And that drove many away.

Had he been focusing on the TEA party platform that won us such a victory in 2010, he’d have easily attracted much more support. But he didn’t, nor do his die-hard supporters even much like that platform. Why, that’d leave us without the gentle, corrective hand of government to reward us when we behave like good little Christian boys and girls... and punish us when we don’t.

Additionally, it really didn’t help that when he *FINALLY* realized that he ought to make some mention of the TEA party platform, he just cribbed Newt’s own positions that had been released the previous month... and made a quick hash of it. Just long enough to get the words out of his mouth before focusing on his true loves.

(The sad thing is that won’t even register as wrong in their eyes. It’ll just be viewed as the posting of some EEEVIL G-d-hating Communist swine that’s out to destroy everything good and holy. BURN THE WITCH!!!)

Nahh, Santorum just thinks that he’s running for the second coming of Christ.

Sounds like you don't like Christians. Rick does not deserve this. So many of you guys slam Rick because he has faith. Some people around here acts like dumocrat who listens to the obama media and regurgitates it. Do you believe what the obama media and the establishment rinos say about Rick? Have you ever heard a complete speech by Rick? Rick give a great stump speech. Are you pro-abortion or pro-gay? Is Rick NOT suppose to mention that? It is a great issue to bring up and remind people that obama (and romney) are for abortion up to 9 months in the womb. I assume you don't believe in God, otherwise you would have a heathy fear of Him. Either that, or you are a mormon.

Two events in this primary are what gave us Romney. Just two.

First, all of the Palin supporters refused to believe that she wouldn’t run, despite the fact that she did nothing to prepare for it (no state organizations, no signatures to get on ballots). And that resulted in a large number of conservatives not even bothering to look at the declared candidates. Furthermore, that delayed any chance of us gelling behind a declared candidate to stop Romney. So, by the time the deluded fools finally figured it out, they ended up panicking and jumping from candidate to candidate without really looking them over.

It was Palin’s fault? Please. It was Romney’s dishonest attacks and $$$ that caused people to jump from candidate to candidate. The reason we have Romney has been all about $$$ and the bombs he threw. Without that, he’d be sitting at home by now.

I understand that.. I’m a NEWT DEWD! But if Newt doesn’t get the nomination I have no choice but to vote for Mitt on Nov. 6th because I sure as hell AIN’T VOTIN’ FOR 0BAMA!!!!! If you don’t vote for the Republican nominee you might as well vote for 0bama because that’s the end result of your abstention. I’m DONE with this conversation and will now yield the floor for your last word..

Yeah they all were like that except Perry. Perry was attacking Romney but he faltered away. Newt then took over. If Bachmann had gone aggressively against Romney maybe she might have done better. But there was a rooting section against her from the start.

[You are correct in that Romney does not enthuse voters to come out. But then why are conservative voters NOT turning out in droves to vote for the “real conservative”, Santorum? Very baffling?]

LOL! Baffling indeed! Why is that,.......if Santo is such a “TURN ON”, then Romney should have lost by last month.

But then, this is not the most brilliant group of pseudo cons we have ever seen either.

I would take Rick anyday over Mitt also. But I thought I was comparing Rick with Newt, not Mitt. I will take Newt anyday over Rick.
