Where was the Reverend Al when police killed Hispanic Iraq war vet Jose Guerena?

Jay Stephenson GenerationSnooki.com March 24 2012

On May 5 last year, former Marine and Iraq war veteran Jose Guerena was just minding his business before police raided his Arizona home and opened fire, releasing more than 70 rounds in 7 seconds while his wife Vanessa and 4-year old son listened from a nearby closet.

Armed with SWAT gear and an armored carrier, police no knock raided the Guerena home searching for illegal drugs that were never found. He was suspected of taking part in a marijuana trafficking ring police were investigating, but was never charged with a crime and had no prior criminal history.

Guerena was declared dead when paramedics were allowed by police to arrive at the scene an hour after the shooting. An autopsy report said he was hit 23 times by police fire.

On the Richter scale of media coverage, the Guerena shooting incident scored a .0001 in interest, despite an obvious cover-up spearheaded by botched raid leader and Rush Limbaugh hater (this is the sheriff who blamed Limbaugh for the Gabrielle Giffords shooting) Pima County Sherriff Clarence Dupnik. The Huffington Post reported on Dupnik’s office changing its story several times and scolding the few media members who dared cover the story:

“The Pima County Sheriff's Office has now changed its story several times over the last few weeks. They have issued a press release (PDF) scolding the media and critics for questioning the legality of the raid, the department's account of what happened, and the department's ability to fairly investigate its own officers. They have obtained a court order sealing the search warrants and police affidavits that led to the raids, and they're now refusing any further comment on the case at all. When I contacted Public Information Officer Jason Ogan with some questions, he replied via email that the department won't be releasing any more information. On Saturday, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik told Arizona Daily Star columnist Josh Brodesky that he may never release the search warrants and police affidavits.”

Sherrif Dupnik was successful in his efforts to stonewall the media (the search warrants and police affidavits remain sealed to this day). Al Sharpton never descended upon the town demanding justice; the president remained mum, and outside of a few veteran based news sites, the issue was eventually completely ignored by the mainstream press.

Media coverage of the event paled in comparison to recent coverage of the shooting of an unarmed teen named Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla that has spurred a national firestorm and grabbed headlines across America.

The absence of media coverage of the Guerena shooting in comparison to the Trayvon Martin fiasco highlights the selective outrage and obvious bias against police brutality stories that don’t fit into the appropriate Al Sharpton racial narrative. Before news broke that Martin’s shooter was Hispanic and not white as originally reported by police, both MSNBC personalities Mika Brzezkinski and Karen Finney took to the airwaves to place blame for the shooting on conservative talk radio and Republican presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum.

The 26-year old Guerena served two tours in Iraq and left behind a 6-year old son in addition to the two family members who were inside the home during the time of the shooting.

Guerena's family filed a $20,000,000 wrongful death lawsuit against Pima County Sherriff Dupnik’s office last August.

I think they are preparing for the chaos before the fall election. Breitbart even warned us about this was coming. Occupy infiltrated into the Tea Party. Like he said Occupy or America. There's much transformation going on in increment..dangerous times in more ways than one for a young country. Words spoken often though, it's becoming a reality.

Race pimps do it for cash.

The best news the NAACP, Rev Al And Jessie posse heard all month was when they learned of Trayvon’s death.

Reverend Race Baiter Alfred Charles "Al" Sharpton, Jr isn't happy unless he's playing stupid liberals for suckers, milking money out of them to inflame hatred around the world.
He's one of the main reasons that racism will never end, because too many evil people like "Al" are getting rich selling racism.

If you bother to look, you’ll find that it’s very likely that Sharpton had something to do with King’s killing.

You’re not supposed to look.

In Chicago, thirty-three homicides have been recorded so far in March.
All those protesters should be in CHICAGO doing something about that.

And what about the case of Alex Coon in Kansas City? He was verbally abused by his black teacher and then this 13 year old was doused with a flammable liquid by two older black teens and set afire. Stop the double standard.
