With polls now closed in Mississippi and Alabama, exit polls show Romney with a slight lead in Mississippi and Santorum with a slight lead in Alabama as the race in both states remains too close to call.

Mittens in third in both states would be great.
The MSM wanted to make it sound like they could be renamed Mittenstan
I was looking at some of the votes the dims did for Obama in Alabama. In a lot of counties, UNCOMMITTED outvoted Obama on the dim ticket. Only Jefferson Co, Birmingham which is heavy black, voted solid for him. Many counties did not. He lost his luster with some dims here it appears. Must not have got that gov’mint check yet this week.
Results as they come in:
Drudge looks a little foolish, eh?
He all but declared Romney the winner in MS. Now it looks like Mitt could finish third, in both states.
Mittens 0 for 2 would be great.
Its beginning to look that way - huh? Yay!!1
Are the delegates winner-take all?
This is shaping up to be a Santorum night. He’s headed for a win AL and its a ding-dong three way race for MS.
Once again we have Gingrich splitting the tea party and male vote. had he withdrawn before WA, MI, OH, Santorum would have won these votes and Santorum would have been coasting for the nomination. The ego of one man Gingrich, described as a “Hindenberg waiting to explode” has thwarted this scenario. Romney needs to send bouquets of roses and more to Gingrich.
As much as I like either Santorum or Gingrich, Newt’s ego is killing this primary. He is giving up Romney as the nominee, and I’d like to slap him for that. (verbally, of course)

In both Alabama and Mississippi, it’s a cliffhanger, with Mittens Romney running in third place.
FReepmail Antoninus to be added or removed.
I’ve been a Newt supporter, but I could easily support easily Santorum. If Santorum wins these Southern states, maybe the time has come for a mano-a-mano between Santorum and Romney. At this point, that may be the only way to stop Romney.
Let’s see what happens.
As of now, why has Romney been given a delegate when he is coming in 3rd in Mississippi? The GOP-E has done everything in its power to shove this man down our throats.

Unfortunately, it may a bit too late for Santorum even if Gingrich quits now. Time after time tea-party voters and males are split between Gingrich and Santorum. Gingrich has undermined us all and taken us for a long and unhappy ride where we end up with Romney. He’ll make Rand Paul his VP and that will be the Republican Ticket for 2012. I hope I’m wrong but you heard it here first.
