Tea Party Turns Up Heat on GOP Over 'Fast and Furious'(gunwalker)
foxnews.com ^ | 12 March, 2012 | NA

Posted on 03/12/2012 5:47:14 PM PDT by marktwain

Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation, appeared on Fox News this morning and called out top Republican leaders in Congress for their inaction on the Fast & Furious gunrunning scandal. Phillips accused GOP leaders like John Boehner and Eric Cantor of just “sitting there” and “not picking a fight with the president” instead of making the case a priority.

Jamie Colby reminded viewers of Fast & Furious and its link to several deaths, including the murder of a U.S. border agent. She asked Phillips if the support of an investigation was a purely partisan one. Phillips said it goes back further than that, because the entire Fast & Furious operation was a partisan one. He accused the Justice Department of running a “purely political operation” as opposed to a “law enforcement sting,” suggesting that anyone who supported it bought into the belief that American guns are being sent into Mexico and that’s what’s causing all the gang violence, which Phillips said could ultimately lead to a push for stricter gun control legislation.

Phillips did credit Congressman Darrell Issa for his commitment to keeping the scandal afloat despite Attorney General Eric Holder‘s “stonewall,” but he did express some displeasure with how the rest of the Republican party in Congress has not been similarly adamant. He called out Boehner, whom he said frequently “hauls up his freshly-laundered white flag of surrender,” and Cantor for not taking more action on this issue.

Almost certainly the biggest scandal in the entire history of the nation and the Republicans are doing like they always do. They roll over and play dead.

There are a handful who are pursuing this but the rest of the Republicans are simply Democrats who think being a Republican is politically advantageous in their districts.

To put it bluntly nearly the entire Congress is corrupt.

Boehner won't do anything about F&F, de-funding of Obamacare, impeaching Zer0...or the debt, or the budget, or the (fill in the blank) because HE DOESN'T WANT TO!

I am convinced that especially Boehner is an old time establishment Republican who is perfectly comfortable with president Zer0's agenda. The only problem he has with it is that Zer0 is moving too fast.

Rapid loss of freedom attracts attention and thus resistance. Boehner prefers the "boiling a frog approach".

The result of the Boehner and Zer0 agendea is the same..but Boehner's time frame is slower which is a little less scary to people.

The House must throw a revolt and elect another Speaker RIGHT NOW!....or nothing is going to come out of the House except furthering of Zer0 agenda for lack of action.

F&F is big and it is not surprising it took place under this administration but the facts prove the current US president is not legally eligible is a constitutional crisis, the rest is trickle down

“... the rest of the Republicans are simply Democrats who think being a Republican is politically advantageous in their districts.”

Yes this is correct. They are called RINOs for Republican In Name Only.

The new saying is “We don’t need a third party, we need first a second party”.

I am so glad to see the TEA Party taking a stand and speaking out. The silence from Republicans has been deafening.

While that birth certificate nonsense is just that, UTTER nonsense and makes us look ridiculous, this is something we really should push. This is a legit issue.

I remember George Wallace saying back in the 60s that there was not a dimes worth of difference between the Republicans and Democrats.

The ironic thing is in the end, there wasn’t a dimes worth of difference between Wallace and the Repbulican and Democrats either.

Issa is carrying the water and doing yeomans work. As for the rest, well you have stated it best, Boehner won’t do a thing. None of them want to do anything about illegal immigration, drugs smuggling or gun running. Nothing changes except Obama ramming his agenda thru. Sickening.

What he says about economic issues sucking all the oxygen out of the room is Cloward & Piven strategy in action. Create a crisis so big that no one pays attention to anything but their own survival and begs the government to save them.

The heat is so hot that 99% of Americans don’t even know what Fast & Furious is.

But they can damn sure tell you who Lady Gaga is, what the best game for your iPhone is, the latest Snooki news, etc, etc, etc.

Pathetic Nation. Should be the title of a book.

Conservative Patriots

FAX, CALL SIGN THE PETITION & FORWARD ,PLEASE.
Numbers USA started a TV ad campaign to push Speaker Boehner to explain why he has blocked a national mandatory E-Verify bill for six months

WE NEED YOU TO FAX YOUR OWN REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN TO TALK ABOUT THE AD AND COMPLAIN ABOUT BOEHNER’S BEHAVIOR

Below, you can view the TV ad campaign that began this afternoon in many parts of the country.

Six months after committee passage of national mandatory E-Verify, we are not going to allow House Speaker John Boehner to continue in silence and shadows to block a floor vote.

But he won’t budge unless the Republican Representatives who elected him Speaker are pressured to pressure him. Boehner holds power because of them and he is using that power to keep illegal aliens in their jobs. You have to hold your Republican Rep accountable for that.

Boner Boehner is a step down from Denny Hastard and that is a low, low step.
