Feds to stop funding Texas women's health program
Associated Press ^ | March 9, 2012

The federal government will stop funding a Texas health program that serves 130,000 low-income women because of a state law that bars abortion-affiliated clinics from getting public money, a top U.S. health official said Friday.

The federal money, which covers 90 percent of the state's $40 million program, will be phased out between May and September because the law violates federal regulations requiring that women have a choice in medical care, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said during a trip to Houston.

So the 50% of Texans who pay Federal income tax should stop paying immediately.

If you read down to about half way, you will find out it’s political thuggery...

The problem in Texas is being caused by lawmakers’ desire to prevent STATE funds from going to Planned Parenthood.

In other words, legal killing.

The solution is simple. Offer these “poor women” on public assistence a one way bus ticket to Chicago, Illinois or Oakland California or Mexico. Have them take their families along. Take them off the welfare rolls and move along. Shiela Jackson Lee will lose most of her recipients.

The 0bama regime’s relentless promotion of abortion is essential to the ‘population control’ required under the United Nation’s “Agenda 21”. Make no mistake, that’s what this regime’s fervor is all about.

I agree. All states should get the Fed out of state affairs. If states were independent of the Fed, perhaps the Fed would go back to their original reason for existence ... protection of our borders and such. Just say’n

I agree. I’m sure they can come up with $40 million from increased oil and gas fracking revenues.

This is only one of inumerable examples of the following pattern:

1. Citizens of state are taxed by fedgov.

2. Fedgov offers the state or citizens money, but only if they behave in the federally approved manner.

3. State or citizens refuse. Funds withheld.

SOLUTION: Don't send $ to fedgov in the first place. (Yes, laws need to change.)

Let me know when they stop funding illegal aliens and UNFPA.

12 March 2009
U.S. Resumption of UNFPA Funding to Boost Women’s Health and Rights

UNITED NATIONS, New York —Yesterday’s action by President Barack Obama to pave the way for the release of United States funding for UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, reminds the world of his commitment to women’s health, rights and equality, according to UNFPA Executive Director Thoraya Ahmed Obaid.

“This is a great day for women, girls and their families around the world,” said Ms. Obaid. “We warmly applaud this action by President Obama, which underlines his support to the protection of the lives and human dignity of women and girls in the poorest countries.”

President Obama yesterday signed legislation containing a $50 million contribution to UNFPA. This puts in motion the restoration of U.S. funding for UNFPA, which had been suspended since 2002.

We need to get the feds out of education and highways too. It’s stupid to send money to DC and then to get some back. It’s all about control.

Sebelius is, of course, quite mad. We have to get her out of there now.

This is exactly the sort of tit for tat a true totalitarian gets involved in.
