General Boykin was more pessimistic.

The North Koreans detonated one. All they need is to give the data they collected on that test to the Iranians. You can also simulate nuclear explosions on a supercomputer.
I agree. I don’t see how they couldn’t have one or more. The Persians are not dumb people. If the back woods Pakistanis can develop nukes, there is no reason that Iran, with more resources, hasn’t been able to.
It is going to turn very ugly over there. Israel will strike. Iran might retaliate with nukes. Israel will counter with more nukes and will likely take out all the Muslim major cities.
This wouldn’t surprise me. Israel has not attacked for a reason. What would be the advantage in waiting? Israeli intelligence probably knows the truth.
Even if it fizzles and just spews radiation, they will declare victory.
If they truly had a warhead/device ready, I couldn’t imagine them not testing it in a very public way. I would if I were in their shoes.
The US developed the Atom bomb from a theory and from scratch in three years. Iran and North Korea have had the assistance of the Pakistanis, Indians, Russians and the German and sellout US physicists. The U-235 purification plants have been operable for over a year whereas at Oak Ridge it took a year for just one bomb and that was using archaic separation methods. A person would have to be just ignorant to not believe that Iran does not have a bomb at this very moment.
The Russians have been helping Iran build their nuclear program since the early ‘90s. I cannot believe they do not have nuclear capability.

Nukes may be a factor but the real reason is there is nothing to bomb. The facilities are buried deep underground under tons of rock. You lob bombs on mountains and you would never know if you were successful without soldiers on the ground to check it out. This situation is not like the 1980s where they could take out an above ground facility . The only way to stop Iran's program unfortunately is with boots on the ground and even then it would be dicey.
Its seems like they are going to need covert operations/military intelligence for this one. Where’s James Bondowicz when you need him?
Within two days there have been two 4.4 magnitude “earthquakes” in Iran.
What kind of magnitude did the Soviet / Chicom underground tests generate, I wonder?
Can we calculate approximately how many megatons yield we’re dealing with here?
It might be illustrative to have an expert seismologist examine the seismic “signature” of these quakes and compare them to known “natural” earthquakes.

I’ll bet someone in Israel is examining those seismograph signatures pretty closely!
If the Ayatollah has 3 nukes and just successfully tested 2 of them underground, where do you suppose #3 (”Three’s a Charm!”) is going?

Of course if the IDF figures out that Iran is ready to launch, things could get really interesting around Persia any day now.

Both Pakistan and North Korea is aiding Iran’s nuclear program.Some American analysts also suspect Pakistani scientists employed by the Pakistani military of helping Iran acquire nuclear technology. The Chinese has been assisting in developemnt of Pakistan nuclear program.
