Sandra Fluke took troubles to be provocative while at the same time attempting to exempt her own self from any accusation of sexual impropriety. Whatever the details, she managed to bait Rush into calling her a slut. If she was not a slut, then she put herself, in some sense, in the shoes of sluts in general. Subsidized sluttery is only one way in which conscience rights of employers (and medical personnel and just the plain old taxpayer) can be violated. It was a shame that the strumpet word “slut” and petty quibbling over who is one hogged the limelight away from conscience rights, whoever’s fault this might ultimately be, Fluke’s or Limbaugh’s or the liberals who leaned on the advertisers or the advertisers themselves.
She’s NOT a slut...she’s a whore. Big difference.

If he isn't worth listening to or is boring or out of touch, his audience will find someplace else to be. (Just ask alFranken.)
It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong; what matters is being entertaining and relevant.
Rush was better when he was younger and hungrier and on the offense. Now after decades of success, he's defending territory and, as someone keeps saying, you don't win defending.
Hey folks .... I sent an e-mail to my local radio station yesterday to thank them for carrying the Rush show because I was certain they were coming under some pressure from the Left. The message I got back was:
“It hasn’t been easy. The opposition is very organized...but thanks.”
I guess I should not have been surprised …. but I was. This is a strong Rush market and I did not expect the station to be coming under as much pressure as this terse reply indicates.
If you are so inclined, PLEASE contact your local Rush radio station and let them know that you support them for carrying Rush. If you have state ‘ping’ lists, let them know this is going on. Enlist the aid of your friends and relatives living in the area …... whatever resources you have to get the message to these beleaguered radio stations, use them!

For starters, we should stop apologizing. Tell them to stuff it. They’re going to call us hateful, bigoted, racist, sexist, xenophobic, evil, etc., anyway, no matter what we do or say, so why do we repeatedly grovel before them?
