Barbara Bush, Hater of ‘Ugly’ Campaigns?
abc news ^

Barbara Bush said today that the Republican primary is “too ugly” and she wishes it were over already.

“I’m worried about this campaign,” the wife of George H.W. Bush said on Fox News this evening. “Too ugly — I really don’t like it, and I think it’s too bad, very much, for Mitt Romney.”

Bush gave a phone interview to the hosts of “The Five,” shortly after saying at a Southern Methodist University conference that “I think it’s been the worst campaign I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“I’m optimistic, but I would like this campaign to be over,” Bush said at the “first ladies conference.”

You have no idea how ugly its getting.

Just the other day Ron Paul called Newt Gingrich's plan to balance the budget "Voodoo Economics".

Really??? The last one was far worse..at least to date. When the Gop-e bears much responsibiity in running off the good candidates as the Left (i.e., “she’s nice lady but should stay in Alaska”), then I have zero empathy for the likes of her. Barbara, you’re a nice lady..but stay retired.

Dear Mrs. Bush, was the campaign your husband ran against Bill Clinton in 1992 an ugly campaign or a pretty campaign?

Do you know what's ugly, Mrs. Bush?

Have a go at Juan McCain and Bob Dole.

My left-front tire on my truck could run a better campaign than either one of those.

My word, I use to really admire her. In some ways, I still do but come on the very candidate in which her and HW Bush have endorsed (making phone calls for Romney), who is the architect of destroying others like Newt. Bloody Thursday stories and not a word then... Shame shame. God please help Newt vs the ruling party insiders.

Haven't they shipped her off yet to that special secret place where we no longer hear from political "matriarchs?"

Politicians should learn this... the Kennedys were very good at keeping their yentas quiet.

I doubt that is what Barbara Bush actually means.

More than likely, what she really means is she doesn’t want to hear much of the issues/truth that the Tea Party considers important.

On the same show, the elitist broad also assured the audience that Romney connects with normal people — as if she has a clue how “normal people” live or think. What a hoot.

Romney and his co-conspirator Ron Paul with help from Rand have poisoned the well.

Talk about ugly-—she probably knew about the Franklin Cover-up and I am sure she heard her husband’s One World Government speech. She is as brainwashed as all leftists and their worldview is “ugly” and hateful. The Bushes are all one-world socialists and are run by the same puppet masters as zero and that Bohemian Grove orgy group who worships idols and perform sacrifice and glorifies sodomy.

What was done and said to and about Sarah Palin was ugly. Where was her concern then? Mitt?

Everyone should just shut up and not think and do what they are told by the GOP? Sorry Mrs. Bush.

It did not work for your husband to play elistist and it did not work for your son to play dumb in the face of leftist attacks because it all stuck and we ended up with a communist in the White House. McCain, playing the same game of elitism, lost too. Your husband’s above it all silence and out of touch mentality earned him one term in office.

Political correctness serves no one in a free Republic. Elitism makes for stupid and out of touch rulers rather than leaders. I have had enough of the Bushes.

Mrs. Bush, say it isn’t so. The guy you are supporting is running the dirtiest, below the belt campaign of anybody. He drew first blood. Please know this if you don’t already.

I think you hit it just right. The Bushes really don’t like us, only at election time where they don’t stand the slightest chance of winning without us. Take a look at their electoral history - but for President Reagan, they would be nothing - George HW could only win a House seat in a very safe Rep district, he lost for Texas Senate twice and couldn’t get elected statewide in what does not quite qualify as a “blue” state. He only won the presidency becuase it was viewed by the voters as a Reagan Third Term and then kissed up to the congressional Dems while dissing our President. I have no use for them, only voted for GW the second time because I could not stand Kerry and I view him as responsible in large part for the mess we’re left in now. Under no circumstances would I vote for the other brother for any office, either.

Barbara cannot tell someone not to have an abortion. Therefore she cannot say she is pro-life. You are either for or against. She does not have my respect and supports Romney. Yikes. Opposites attract.
