A Statement from Rush (Rush offers apology to Slut!)

For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.

I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.

My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

No I don’t, and I also do not admire people who believe that one man holds America in the palm of his hand by doling out his opinions. Just how has Rush destroyed America? I thought it was the liberals doing that or was I wrong?

I am going to hear what Rush says Monday. People can atleast give him that much. As for who to blame for this, I blame his cowardly advertisers for pulling out on him.

This is just a sideshow. Rush is just a distracting entertainer who gets paid lots of $$$$ for creating a world that listeners want to live in. In that imaginary world our heroes like Rush never retreat. In our real world they do to avoid complete destruction.

Outside of that imaginary world is the real fear, that is the world where Republicans have lost every single confrontation they have tried since winning the House and this current one is not looking good. They seem clueless and now aimless and have no real leader who can rally them to a winning strategy against Obama, assuming they even had one. Things are looking pretty bad right now.

I remember Rush in 1993 and this is not him.

Limbaugh went beyond merely using the S-word. He said that she should sell sex tapes to pay for birth control.

I think that he was trying to be funny, not being literal, and I don't want to pay for birth control. But aren't we hypocrites if we defend Limbaugh on this issue and attack such "comedians" as Letterman ("slutty flight attendant look") and Maher for making similar preposterous remarks about Palin?

And how about the Playboy article about "hate rape" of conservative women in 2009?

Although all of them have rights under the 1st Amendment, I think Limbaugh handed Obama a gift. And I have a 1st Amendment right to say it wasn't funny, and it supports the false notion that conservatives are vindictive yahoos.

If you did your own research instead of counting on what Rush tells you you would know that Dems do not call Rush an entertainer, They call him the leader of the Republican party.

You're wrong. I've seen the left call Rush an "entertainer" on more than a few occasions. Numerous other Freepers recall it too.
