LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Officials at an elementary school rocked by teacher sex abuse claims are investigating yet another allegation of misconduct, this one involving a teacher's aide accused of sending love letters to an 11-year-old boy.
The mother of the fourth-grader told the Los Angeles Times that the aide, a woman the mother appeared to be in her 50s, sent at least three letters to her son in 2009, including one that read: "when you get close to me, even if you give me the chills I like that. Don't tell nobody about this!"

Here's the money quote:
"It's not a witch hunt, it's just that someone is really looking," she said. "Cases start unpeeling like an onion. It's always the same pattern."
Remember the outpouring of support Roman Polanski gets from Hollywood-sex with children isn’t really a big deal in LA-LA land.
Hollywood isn’t going to go to bat for the suspects in these cases. If the two male teachers get convicted they can say goodbye to La La land.
Disgusting -- and I at least hope she was not a teacher's aid in an English class
The LA Unified School District is no better than Penn State in this regard.
It’s a culture of cover up and corruption. Verbal meetings. No notes taken. No action taken. How many victims could have been spared if they acted decisively early on?
Then, the governor has these solutions for the the state finances: raise taxes and build a bullet train. He is never pro-active on what he can cut from these perverts; just raise taxes for “the children”.
And all along we thought the elementary schools at least were safe.
“Don’t tell nobody”? Was this an English class?
In an elementary class English would be only one of the subjects taught.
They teach English in LA?
A fiftyish, female, teacher’s aide soliciting an 11 yr old male student...now that’s sick.
But lower her age a little, raise the boy’s age a little, post her picture online if she’s a looker, then the whole thing would be WONDERFUL!
/Sarcasm
That’s what dozens and dozens of FReepers would rush onto this thread and tell us.
Eubonics?
Oh, man, I can’t believe I said that...
They WERE safe for decades. From grades 4 - 6 we walked to school and back every day. From our house it was 1.1 miles each way. Not one kid was ever threatened or molested. The incidence of child molestation runs in a 1:1 relationship to Liberal policies.
Here’s a sick part:
“Some parents applauded the decision, but others protested the move and circulated a petition calling for the staff at the school to be reinstated.”
Who are these people who wanted that kind of trash reinstated to be near children?
What kind of mentality is that?
That would be the liberal mentality!
True.
They probably don’t care what will happen.
There might be some pretty good teachers who get transferred unfairly.
There might be more instances and the investigation could be hindered by transferring bad employees out of the area, in which case, other schools might inherit them before they are discovered.
How can anyone know that all the new teachers are good teachers?
How can anyone know that there won't be a couple of bad teachers being transferred in?
For the moment, I would rather keep all the teachers in place at the school so that a thorough top to bottom investigation can be done. There might be additional instances, or there might not. Transferring them all out creates a bigger problem for investigators.
When I was 11 I thought girls were “icky.” Beam me up Scotty.
“Transferring them all out creates a bigger problem for investigators.”
There is that.
Transferring them rather than getting to the bottom of it and prosecuting the offenders is a big problem.
Possible move to protect the guilty in part?
I agree with your assessment, and with your conclusion.
You have hit on the most important point here. If all the teachers are bad teachers, then this only protects them. It relocates the problem, it doesn't solve it.
Thank you.
