That sort of thing happens on my side of the country all too often.
And if it isn’t a protective transfer, it’s active stonewaling by the school board.
Like Middletown NY did with Robert Sigler.
They first tried to stonewall, then they tried to silence a whistle blower, then they finally admitted that they knew what was going on and did nothing..
..and Sigler was the superintendant of schools in Middletown NY.
Our town was smaller -- just 7/10 mile across. We walked, too. Today the buses pick each child up at each house. People here are petrified of child abuse -- and I'm not sure there's even been any.
But parents think there is.

She’s a teacher’s aide. My mistake.
The article lists her as a teacher’s aide, not a teacher. Qualifications may be different for aides at different schools and I don’t pretend to be the expert on who qualifies and why, but generally they are not required to have a teaching credential or 4 year degree. Nonetheless, it would helpful for people like this to be educated before trying to help educate others.
Saying “Don’t tell nobody” is pretty sad for a teacher’s aide. A double negative makes a statement positive,which is something the kids learn early on.
Is there a picture of this woman? I want to know what she looks like.
There was no picture of her in the article. She described herself as a “grandmotherly type.” LOL
Yeah,right.
