HOLLYWOOD star Liam Neeson is considering giving up his Catholic belief and becoming a Muslim.
The actor, 59, admitted Islamic prayer "got into his spirit" while filming in Turkish city Istanbul.
He said: "The Call to Prayer happens five times a day and for the first week it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit and it's the most beautiful, beautiful thing.
"There are 4,000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim."
Liam was raised in Northern Ireland as a devout Catholic and altar boy and was named after the local priest.
But the star — whose wife Natasha Richardson died aged 45 in a skiing accident in 2009 — has spoken about challenges to his faith.
He said: "I was reared a Catholic but I think every day we ask ourselves, not consciously, what are we doing on this planet? What's it all about?
"I'm constantly reading books on God or the absence of God and atheism."
Liam was criticised in 2010 after claiming Narnia lion Aslan — voiced by him in the movies — is not based on Christ as CS Lewis had claimed but in fact all spiritual leaders including Mohammed.
His latest film The Grey, about an oil drilling team who crash in freezing Alaska, is released in the UK on Friday.

I have seen a few women wearing those clothes and I’ve often wondered if it was a ‘look at me’, I’m special thing.

Do not misunderstand my words. I’m not blaming Catholics nor the Catholic beliefs. The Catholic Church,as an institution, does bear responsibility for not taking real corrective action against priests who did these acts. I don’t consider shifting them to different parishes as taking action. That is something the Catholic church is going to have to deal with at some point.
However, to the nominal Catholic or the non-Catholic, it was a devastating situation.

You are correct, I think, that Age of Enlightenment provided a foundation for non-Christian European to put themselves ona pedestal and point out every fault of the Christian faith as justification for not following Christ.
He can feel comfortable in a role that would have him pushing my co religionists into a crematorium and justifying it by saying we are the descendants of apes and pigs.
Kind of like a reverse "Schindler's List" where Liam would play the Amon Geoth type character (the S S man who happily shot all those Jews).

Maybe, but the reality is the reverberations continue.
So, he hears the call to prayer five times a day and that alone converts him. What an effin doofus. No brains. Then he had the gall to attack C. S. Lewis. Why didn’t he gain insight into Christ from his role in that movie? That’s because like so many in Hollywood he despises everything in the West and everything good and decent. Liam needs our prayers. The loss of his wife is still affecting him deeply and he’s searching for answers. Satan, like a lion on the prowl, is always looking for “openings” to lead one astray; this appears to be Liam’s.
I pray that he finds peace with the one true God.
The same subset of women are also the ones celebrating Kwanzaa.
