FITCHBURG -- It was a horror movie come to life.
Judy Sanchez woke Thursday to the sound of heavy footsteps in her stairwell, followed by a loud motor. She got to her kitchen in time to see the blade of a chain saw rip through her front door.
"It was so crazy," Judy Sanchez said. "I was terrified."
Jan. 26 was the day of Operation Red Wolf, a multiagency sweep during which 16 people in Fitchburg were arrested on charges related to gang activity, drug trafficking and illegal gun sales after a two-year investigation by federal, state and local law-enforcement officers.
The people sawing through her door were FBI agents, looking for a gang member suspected of trafficking cocaine. But they went to the wrong address.
Sanchez said the ordeal traumatized her and her 3-year-old daughter, Ji'anni, and she is unsatisfied with the agency's response to the error.
About 10 FBI agents came into her apartment at 391 Elm St., that morning, guns drawn and pointed at her. There was no knock, and they didn't shout that they were from the FBI until after the saw was buzzing through her six-panel front door, she said.

It won’t be c-4 proof. Problem is they will just escalate. Better to put a couple surprises along the way for them so they take themselves out.
How the hell are you supposed to hear “fbi” over a freaking chain saw gutting your door.
What would probably actually ensue would be an ugly firefight in which later the Feebs would claim they hollered “Police” before ever starting the saw, and nobody could prove otherwise. And if the occupant of the apartment lived by some miracle, he would soon find himself on death row courtesy the Feds if not the state where it happened.
You don’t get it. The WOD became the justification for SWAT. They said they’d go after gangs and fortified drug houses.
The real deal is creating internal paramilitary teams. State Dept. Publication 5277, Freedom From War.
In this case I’d shoot through the walls around the door. Normally not unless I knew where my family was.
For best effect, you’d need to guess what was chest and head level and go for that.
I’d also never be without my attack cats, which had been trained (through ample use of tuna fish and sardines) to claw through black Kevlar face masks and cling to faces. Dogs are for the birds.
I’d be dead because I’d be shooting. A chainsaw!?
Sounds like they went to terrorist think tanks. Headed by terrorists.
It's illegal in Oklahoma. Coming soon to a fascist State near you...
Much like cops who shoot people's barking dog after busting into the wrong house.
As if a crook would care about that law. Those who did care would only be the subject of wrong-door raids.
Uhhhhh, no. They'd be dead "heroes", and you'd be getting a ride on the Federal Death Penalty Express.
They'd throw the switch in under three years, guaranteed.
Nothing too good for dead "hero" BundesKettenhunde...
Yeah, well - didn't work out so good for the Ogden Blackbelly MallNinjas when 12 of them came up against a single former Airborne trooper...
Despite the fact that this action would have been entirely justified, she would most likely be dead.
“Hmm.. If I woke up to a chainsaw coming through my door, thered probably be lead going back through it.”
Probably? I absolutely guaran-damn-tee there would be!
If a chainsaw were to encounter, say, barbed aire stapled to the inside of the door - well, no, that might be messy ...
I shouldn’t say this, but a shotgun won’t do much against anyone in body armor. A .308 is a better choice.
As a law-abiding citizen, I can’t say I wouldn’t assume someone cutting my door with a chainsaw wasn’t some sort of psychopath who was going to kill me. There’s no reason the cops would target me — especially since I know and work with most of the local cops.
There is nothing worse than being a truly innocent person stuck in the crosshairs of the criminal justice system. Thugs learn how to game the system, but innocent people put up a fight and won’t plea bargain their charges away.
I looked, It wasn’t there. It was added since.
