I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

Yup.

At the time it looked like the Democrats had the ethics charge handle to remove him and others at will.

It just looked that way. They didn't. It was total BS. Lie after lie.

I'm surprised Newt didn't pull a pistol and shoot John right between the eyes last night.

Now that'd had them not only standing in their seats cheering, they'd been leaping from the balcony!

Beck will soon endorse Romney, it doesn’t matter what he is saying now.

Still hang in’ for Santy. But you know my wish for SC is newt and Santorum 1st and 2nd, in any order.

I guess you are not paying much attention to "Santy" - who obviously has his "panty" in a wad over Newt's pulling away from him to win SC.

"Santy's" attacks on Newt, who never attacks him, are pathetic. Go Newt, the one man who knows who the problem is: Obama.

The same hip black guy who wears mom jeans and throws like a girl?

Yep, that's the one. But he has the entire MSM in his back pocket, and that's not to be underestimated.

We need someone who is conservative, anti-big government, and also capable of beating Obama. I just don't see any current candidate with all three of those qualities (IMHO Cain had it all, but he wimped out).

That's why I'm hoping for a brokered convention. Perhaps a roll of the dice there will produce a winner.

Family-values firebrand endorses self-obsessed, philandering, open-marriage advocate!

There has to be an answer to why he’d take up for a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-gay marriage, pro-big government liberal.

- - - - -
There is and I will give you 3 guesses as to why...

Seriously, I don’t buy Beck’s supposed support of Santorum at all, I like Santorum but it looks like it will be down to Newt and Romney, and Santorum is more likely to pull votes from Newt than Romney so ‘support’ of Santorum by Beck will help Romney and then Beck and come in and say “well Romney is our only choice” and make it look like he has resigned himself to it rather than supported him all along.

IIRC, Mitt is the only one Beck hasn’t really attacked.

Santorum said that the Republicans did not like Gingrich as speaker because he was erratic.
I do not remember that. I do not remember anything written about Gingrich being erratic- I sort of remember some power play going on at the time.

Gingrich was so successful as Speaker of the House....

As a matter of FACT, 'Yes' he was thank you ......

Dick Cheney: When Newt showed up he said, we can become the majority, we can take back the House of Representatives. We hadn't had the House since the 1940s. And initially, none of us believed it. But he was persistent, he was tenacious. He kept it up, kept it up, and kept it up. Finally by '94 he's the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives with a Republican majority. So I wouldn't underestimate him.

The majority want to defeat 0bama, not because of his policies. If it were so, they would not fall in line with another man pushing the same ideas. Newt is just a different face, as is Romney. We are so screwed. The only real change would be that “old crazy man”. Get ready for a strong third party run, and another 4 years...if we are lucky and don’t get a “leader for life”.

Romney who?
Because Mitt Romney is not and has never been a conservative.
So either you are talking about a different Romney or you have not been paying attention.

Yesterday, Beck “guaranteed” the world that Newt Gingrich would lose in the general election.

Beck - I guarantee, I guarantee....repeating it like a chant.

Two days ago, he attempted to get Santorum to say that Gingrich was the DC Establishment candidate, but Santo would not go along with his leading question.

Yes, I thought it was unfair of Santorum too. And while I’m not totally thrilled with Newt, Obama will have a billion dollars to trash our nominee no matter who he is. Atleast Gingrich will fight back.

“I disagree with JimRob on this but I have to say...

The fact that some random dude (JimRob) took it upon himself to advance a cause he felt passionate about and is now a leading voice able to mobilize and inspire hundreds of thousands of like minded persons is incredible.

His story is a testament to why this country is so great and deserves our efforts to save it. Any man, with passion, hard work, and faith, can accomplish the impossible in America. This is the New World still, it is still the land of opportunity.”

Darn it, Jim, where is that “Like” button!! ;) Bravo!

I don't want to turn this into a Mormon War thread, but the fact is that both Beck and Romney are Mormons. That's why Huntsman never attacked Romney, either. Mormons will always support each other.
