>CNN knows Newt wins that type of debate, and figures “St. Barack” will have easy pickins in November over Newt, so they are setting it up that way..<

The debates were always a disaster with Buttcrack obama as he is now dependent on the teleprompter. Newt just wings it and when he does, he thinks it through. Buttcrack on the other hand, has to “uhhh” his way into the debate process. I would love to see that happen.

Ask Juan how that worked out for him.

Yes, I don't expect CNN to win that battle against Newt. LoL.

I know that November is a long way off, and either Romney or Gingrich is capable of winning

I would pay to see Newt rip the Marxist/Muslim a new one in a debate.

So far I think CNN has done the best job on hosting debate.

Why do they let all of these stilted 'news' services decide who will moderate the debates?

Hmmm, maybe free air time?

If Mitt looked good and had a winning smile, he won the debate. If Newt or Santorum get angry and look mean, they lost. This is what happens when the mediocre rule, thanks to public school.

“Surprised Drudge doesn’t have the alarm going declaring Mite the debate winner already. /s”

Hahaha so true. I was surprised that Rush spent the vast majority of his show today supporting Mitt Romney. I don’t know what happed to Rush’s supporting the most Conservative candidate.

Question for Mitt Romney:

Why did you and your wife donate money to Planned Parenthood?

Newt needs to call out the press, specifically.

Newt: You guys at CNN are scared of the idea of me being President because I will continually call you out as liberals, which you are. So the American people shouldn’t be surprised when all you do is pummel me and push Mitt.

“Can someone explain to me again why we are allowing CNN to have any part in picking a republican nominee?”

Exactly. I am so sick of the RNC’s stupidity! Good idea, let’s go on the enemies’ air, with the enemies’ biased employees! What could go wrong??? I would tell the SRM to ESAD!! When Rush and Mark Levin moderate Democratic debates, then the RNC should go back on fing CNN!! Ugh!!

>>Why did you and your wife donate money to Planned Parenthood?

This alone would sink Mitt decisively in SC. Santorum would end up #2 behind Newt if this is mentioned.

We really need to amend the Constitution to remove the provision that says that debate moderators must be hard-line liberals.

Do many people rally vote according to debate results?

It depends on whether or not the voter in question is fully committed to a candidate or not.

If the voter is fully committed to someone, it may not make a huge difference. If they are still "shopping around" for a candidate, then it may. If they have no idea who they'll vote for, it probably does to a larger degree.

Other times it makes a difference is when the person is generally uncommitted, but discovers through the debates that one of the candidates holds some view which the voter finds anathema; or when a candidate really steps in a mess that he/she can't extricate themselves from, instantly delegitimizing that candidate for voters.

It wasn't during a debate, but an example of a moment that changed a candidacy instantly was when Howard Dean screamed. One moment, and it was over.

So, it depends, but generally, I think that it has been shown that the more a person is committed to a candidate, the less debates matter.
