Is this the "major defining speech" I have heard the networks describe all morning? The one Newt was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m.? Or is that supposed to be later in the day?

If Newt could pull close to 50% in this one, it would erase all the past disappointments and make him the unquestioned leader. SC is much more typical of the mainstream of American people and the travails of living under Obama Rule.

And it would also be nice if Santorum and Perry got out and supported Gingrich. Santorum does not have the money to compete and Perry is considered a dunce, even in SC.

Every television station and radio station I listened to this morning had EXACTLY the same thing to say about Gingrich.

"He's getting nasty and his relentless attacks on Mitt Romney appear to be personal rather than about policy."
