Katharine Hepburn referred to her family’s shoreline house in Old Saybrook as “paradise,” and some rumors have been circulating that the First Family might feel the same way.
Over the summer, word began to spread that the Obamas might be interested in buying the 8,000 square foot waterfront estate.
Now, those rumors are circulating again, according to the Connecticut Hearst Media Group.
Hearst spoke with the owner, Frank Sciame, who they said neither confirmed nor denied that there is presidential interest.
"It's not sold, that's all I can say," Sciame told Hearst over the phone. "It's not something I can talk about. Sorry I can't give you more."
The White House did not respond to the Hearst Group's requests for comment.
The house, on the market for $28 million, is on 3.4 acres and is surrounded by Long Island Sound, which would give the First Family privacy.

Since when did they become wealthy enough to buy a 28 million dollar house. Could he not be reporting all his income on his tax returns that he releases to the public? Not Mr. Transparent. They will be broke in 10 yrs with all the bling that Michelle will be buying.

I don't know how much money in stocks, bonds savings etc. the Obama's have.
So where is Obama going to get 28 million dollars?
Are the Obama's millionaires? If they are, how did they make their money? And when did they make it?
Maybe the Democrat Party is going to fork over millions from their campaign chest to Obama. Perhaps the corrupt unions will be skimming off their members dues for Obama? Let's see some transparency Obama.
