Katharine Hepburn referred to her familys shoreline house in Old Saybrook as paradise, and some rumors have been circulating that the First Family might feel the same way.
Over the summer, word began to spread that the Obamas might be interested in buying the 8,000 square foot waterfront estate.
Now, those rumors are circulating again, according to the Connecticut Hearst Media Group.
Hearst spoke with the owner, Frank Sciame, who they said neither confirmed nor denied that there is presidential interest.
"It's not sold, that's all I can say," Sciame told Hearst over the phone. "It's not something I can talk about. Sorry I can't give you more."
The White House did not respond to the Hearst Group's requests for comment.
The house, on the market for $28 million, is on 3.4 acres and is surrounded by Long Island Sound, which would give the First Family privacy.

Man, there is nothing too good for the Dictator and his uh, wife.
Obama must really hate black people if he's gonna be that detatched from their meanderings.
If that’s the house they featured in “The Aviator”, I’d have to agree that it is paradise. A beautiful house that was occupied by some very objectionable, elitist, socialist snots.
Obama is starting to resemble Saddam Hussein.
Movin On Up.
Just, please, do it in 2013 and get the HELLL out of our White House !
And if the Nobama's buy it it could be once again. I wonder how much it would cost ot put bars on the windows.
Grifters.
Not bad digs for the community organizer.
He can call one of his old whores, Chris Dodd, to interceed and make a call to Countrywide and get him a good mortgage rate.....say 4 or 5 dollars per month.
I like when Hughes says to Hepburn; “Don’t talk down to me. You’re a movie star and nothing more”.
As welcome as the Clintons were in Westchester County I suppose?
How does a democRAT politician with only 6 million buy a house for 28 mil? Nevermind, I answered my own question.
Movin’ on up, to the big time ...
The fresh prince of hot air
At least he’ll have extra bedrooms for all his kenyan relatives living in huts and in public housing
Somewhere a shaky old broad is shaking a little more fervently with a subteranean twist.
Beans don’t burn on the griddle, fish don’t fry on the grill,
Took a whole lot of griftin’, just to get up that hill.
Somebody really loved “white”. :*/
God will put a hurricane in their living room.
