Joseph opened by saying, "I was just beginning to soften up to Ron Paul, largely because of his boldness in wanting to cut $1 trillion out of the federal government's budget immediately.
Then came his insulting and untrue statement on "The Tonight Show" about Michele Bachmann, who is in my opinion the very best candidate seeking the Republican presidential nomination.
"She doesn't like Muslims," Ron Paul said. "She hates Muslims."
It's also just simply a naïve statement for Paul to make. She simply has a realistic view of Islam that holds women, Jews and Christians to something significantly less than second-class citizens. Michele Bachmann doesn't hate Muslims any more than I do. She is, like me, a born-again believer in Jesus as the messiah, the redeemer, our Lord and our king.
Jesus taught His followers to pray even for their enemies, so when you call a Christian a "hater" you are characterizing him or her as someone who betrays one of the very principles of their faith.
Neither Michele Bachmann nor I even hate the worst of those Muslim terrorists who attack us today. What we hate is the evil ideology that tragically captures the minds and spirits of too many Muslims and turns them into killing machines who seek to destroy the United States of America and everything for which it stands.
But we still pray for our enemies -- pray their eyes are opened to the truth.
And we pray for our friend Ron Paul that his eyes and those of his supporters will be opened to the truth -- before it's too late.

He’s a Nut
Ron Paul would pull all U.S. forces home. All of them. He has no understanding of the word “logistics” and even less understanding of the diplomatic carnage that he would create.
When a country really and truly wants our troops out, we pull them out. France in the 60s and the Philippines in the 90s are good examples.
Some countries (Germany, Britain, Italy, Japan) want our troops there for the localized economic boost that our bases create.
Other countries (South Korea, Kuwait, Turkey) want our troops there because it helps maintain stability.
Pulling them out of all of those countries would be a debacle, and could lead to some fairly serious regional wars.
But he understands none of this.
Lost me right there.
This is coming from a guy who thinks a counts a couple of Marines guarding an embassy a ‘military base’ and says their being their is unConstitutional.
I guess he missed Article 2, Section 2, Subsection 2 authorizing Ambassadors.
..unless of course, he thinks Ambassadors should not be protected.
I know the feeling, very time I warm up to him he says something totally stupid about foreign policy. I can’t believe there are no good candidates to vote for! Sarah!
Say what you will about Ron Paul, he would be a fine president...
